Yunmeng Shadow Play is an ancient traditional folk art form in Yunmeng County, Hubei Province. Since the middle of Qing Dynasty, there are still 26 shadow plays. This performance has been going on for many years. 1February, 1995, was awarded the title of "Hubei Shadow Play Art Town" by the Provincial Department of Culture. Yunmeng shadow play is light and simple, and two people act together. Mengze Shadow Play is the most influential shadow play place in Yunmeng County, located at No.95 Zhengdong Street, Chengguan. It is a house built by Qin Ligang, a famous contemporary shadow play artist of Yunmeng.
