The Historical Value of Bamian Hall in Huangshan Mountain
Huangshan bamiantang

Huangshan Bamiantang covers an area of 0.25 hectares. It was built in the first year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty (1796). In the eleventh year of Xianfeng (186 1), the stone carvings on the facade of the flower hall and entrance hall were destroyed, and the south arch was destroyed in 1942. The existing flower hall ruins, foyer, hall, hall building and Sanjin courtyard on both sides of the central axis are well preserved. The main building and ancillary buildings of the octagonal hall consist of a central axis and two horizontal axes. Huge building materials, exquisite carving skills and proper layout are outstanding representatives of Dongyang woodcarving at its peak. The Bamian Hall in Huangshan Mountain was built in an exact time, and it is a typical building to identify the houses in central Zhejiang in the middle and late Qing Dynasty. It is a typical folk house in central Zhejiang, integrating ancestral halls and folk houses, and embodies the ethical concept of China's big family and the living habits of small families. At the same time, it is also a temple of art and a museum of ancient sculpture art, which has high artistic value.

On June 25th, 20001year, as an ancient building in Qing Dynasty, the Bamian Hall of Huangshan Mountain was approved by the State Council to be included in the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
