Shenze County is located in the south-central part of Hebei Province. East to Anping, west to Wuji, south to Xinji and Jinxian, and north to Dingxian and Anguo. The total area is 296.39 square kilometers. The population is 250,000 (2003).

The development of history
Because of the low terrain, continuous rainstorms, three rivers, long-term unstable barriers and several water countries, it is named Shenze.
In the eighth year of Emperor Gaozu (former 199), the county was located in Zhongshan County, and the historical records recorded the place name Shenze. In the third year of Emperor Jingdi's reign (before 154), Zhongshan County was renamed as Zhongshan Prefecture, which governed Shenze County. At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Shenze was renamed Nanshenze County and Lizhuo County. In the first four years of the Eastern Han Dynasty (79 years), it became a vassal state. In the first year of Yan Guang (122), Le Guo Cheng was renamed Anping and placed under Anping. In the first year of Yan Xi (158), Anping was changed to Boling County, and South Shenze was transferred to Boling. In the fourth year of Tang Wude (62 1), Dingzhou was restored, and in the first year of Tianbao (742), Dingzhou was changed to Boling County and transferred to Boling. In the first year of Gan Yuan (758), Boling County was restored to Dingzhou, which was placed under Dingzhou. In February of the second year of Jingfu (893), qi zhou was placed in Wuji and Shenze was transferred to qi zhou. The Five Dynasties inherited the old system of the Tang Dynasty, and Shenze moved to qi zhou. In the Song Dynasty, Shenze County was initially assigned to qi zhou (Infinite Land), and Song Daping was the first to rejuvenate the country (976). Qi zhou moved to Puyin (now Anguo) and still led Shenze. In the sixth year of Song Xining (1073), Shenze Province entered Gucheng County and was reduced to Shenze Town, which was assigned to qi zhou. In the first year of Yuan Dynasty (1056), Shenze County, now Shenze City, was relocated to qi zhou, Hebei West Road. During the Jin Dynasty, Shenze County belonged to qi zhou.
