"Dao" in Huishui dialect of Guizhou has seven semantic features, which can be used as a verb, a noun, an adjective, an adverb, an auxiliary word, a preposition and a quantifier. This paper sorts out seven semantic features, some of which are commonly used in southwest mandarin, and some of which are very local in Huishui County. Adjective inverted, auxiliary word Av inverted with emphasis and imperative mood, noun quantifier inverted with steps and procedures are all semantic features of local folk customs in Huishui County.
Huishui County belongs to Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province. Located in the south-central part of Guizhou Province, it is adjacent to Pingtang in the east, Anshun in the west, Guiyang in the north and Luodian County in the south. It is 72 kilometers wide from east to west and 68 kilometers long from north to south, and ethnic minorities account for 58%. In Huishui dialect, "Dao" has seven usages-* * *, which can be used as a verb, indicating that the container is turned over or lifted obliquely to make things pour out, and people or things fall down. It can also mean going back to the past or completing the action, which is equivalent to "it is good to be alive" in Mandarin.
It can also be used as a noun. Besides being a fixed noun group, it can also indicate position. Do adjectives to modify people's character.
