1, improper washing method
The quilt cover will fade due to improper washing, which will affect its beauty. Most dyes are soluble in water; Dyes are also easy to fade under the action of sunlight in wet state; If the dye is not firmly combined with the fiber particles, it will fade when washing. Therefore, the quilt cover does not fade. Except when washing, be careful not to soak in hot water, soapy water and alkaline water for a long time, and do not rub it with a washboard or brush. When washing, you can put some salt in the water and rinse it with clear water.
2. Improper drying and maintenance
It is often seen that many people will expose their freshly washed quilts to the sun, on the one hand, to dry them thoroughly as soon as possible, and on the other hand, to sterilize them, but the strong sunlight evaporates some dyes as well as water.
3. Washing too often
Washing the quilt cover has a certain period. Generally, the quilt cover is replaced once a month or so, and it is best to wash two or three sets to prolong the service life of the quilt cover. Because frequent washing will damage the cotton fibers in the quilt cover, resulting in the fading of the quilt cover.
Solutions to the fading of sheets;
1. Before using the newly bought quilt cover, clean it and soak it in strong salt water for about two hours. Of course, the time can be a little longer. The concentration of this salt water is generally a bucket of water plus a spoonful. This situation can be basically eliminated after soaking and washing with detergent soap. If discoloration still occurs, it can be soaked in light salt water for ten minutes to half an hour during the second cleaning, so that the discoloration problem can be completely solved for a long time. It should be noted here that different fabrics should be washed according to the characteristics of the fabrics when they are washed after soaking.
2, the second method we can use vinegar to clean, this method is mainly aimed at red or purple and other brightly colored cotton bed sheets quilt cover. The specific operation method is to soak the sheets and quilts in vinegar water for a short time. One problem that needs attention here is that the concentration of vinegar water should not be too high, otherwise it will cause some damage to the fabric and dye some light-colored sheets. You can also use this method to ensure that the colors of sheets and quilts are as bright as new during daily cleaning.
In addition to the above two conventional methods, we can also use toilet water for cleaning. Drop a few drops of toilet water in clean water, and then soak the washed sheets in this water for ten minutes. The clothes washed in this way can also play the role of disinfection and sterilization and remove the smell of sweat.
Finally, there is another way to soak the sheets with beer. Let's take half a basin of water first, then pour 1/2 beer into the water, and then pour a little blue ink and mix well. Soak the faded quilt cover, take it out after half an hour, wash it with clear water and dry it in the sun.
