Brief introduction of Juntun town
Juntun Township is located in the northeast of Wenshang County, with east longitude116 37 ′ and north latitude 35 53 ′. It borders Ningyang County in the east, Feicheng City and Dongping County across the Dawenhe River in the north, Yangdian Township in the west and Baishi Township in the south. It covers an area of 565,438+0.57 km2 and has a population of 27,600 (2005). Jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages and 32 natural villages. The township government stationed troops in Tuncun village, 25 kilometers away from the county seat. The terrain is high in the northeast and low in the southwest, belonging to hilly and waterlogged depressions. It mainly produces wheat, corn, sweet potato and cotton. There are Dawenhe Overflow Dam and Daicun Dam in the territory. Scenic spots and historical sites include the site of ancient pottery city, the Han tomb of Juntun, the stone carvings of Pipa Mountain in Tang Dynasty and Renzhuang Stone Carvings in Jin Dynasty.
