According to the preliminary plan, the bridge is scheduled to start construction in 2022 and be completed and put into operation before 2025. Honghuatao River Crossing Channel is located about 8km downstream of Yichang Yangtze River Highway Bridge and 18km upstream of Yidu Yangtze River Highway Bridge.

The estimated construction period is 42 months. Honghuatao Yangtze River Bridge in Yidu (tentative name): At present, this project has been included in the overall urban planning of Yichang City (20 1 1-2030).
