The History and Culture of Wuyang Town
The Eight Scenes of Wuchuan refer to the Eight Ancient Scenes of Wuchuan. These eight scenic spots are: the singing of firewood in Lishan Mountain, the fisherman casting his net, the rainbow hanging, the moon-making in Yanhua, the fishing in Jipu, the snow-limited gate, the sunrise in the East China Sea and the view of climbing. These eight scenes are the ancient eight scenes of Wuchuan. With the changes of the environment, some have disappeared, and some are only faintly discernible. The famous "Eight Scenes of Wuchuan" in ancient times, Wuyang monopolized six scenes, namely sunrise in the East China Sea, a high view, fishermen casting nets, extremely rich fishing, long months and limited snow. History has changed, and now many scenic spots have disappeared, or just left ruins. The following are the six ancient scenes of Wuyang:

1, Chaoyang in the East China Sea

Chaoyang in the East China Sea (now Wuyang Gold Coast) is located in the southeast coast of the town, with a coastline of 18km, blue sea and silver sand, and a wide field of vision of 8km2. It has been designated as a "man and biosphere" windbreak belt by the United Nations. It is a good place to watch the sea and play the waves. Sunrise in the East China Sea is the same in ancient and modern times. Fishermen go fishing in the early morning, which is a very beautiful scenic line.

2. The list is high

From a height, it is located in Wuyang Middle School (the ruins of Gong Xue Temple in Wuchuan), and there was a hill in ancient times. The mountain is covered with wormwood, and the circumference of the foot of the mountain is six feet high, less than two feet high. When you reach the top of the mountain, you can see the sails of the sea in the southeast, and the rivers in the northwest flow like a belt. The scenery is charming. Later, it was leveled for Wuyang Middle School to expand the new teaching building.

3. Fishermen cast nets

Fisherman casting his net: It is located in Wen Weng Ridge, Wuyang, also known as "Wen Weng Green". It is nearly ten meters high, and the top of the ridge is surrounded by velvet thatch. Looking eastward from the ridge, you can see the surging South China Sea and endless blue. Looking at the hills in the west, it looks like a net, and there are mud balls and hills around the cloth columns, which look like a net bubble, hence the name. This is the tomb of Li Mugong, the ancestor of the Li family, and Li Lingyun, a rural sage. Sacrifice for thousands of years has a long history.

4. Jeep returns from fishing

Located in Huangli Village, Wuxiangxia Street, it was built in the Southern Song Dynasty. It is located in the estuary with fishing boats. Every time the fishing boat comes back from sunset, the lights are a bit like stars all over the sky. At that time, merchants gathered to buy fish and sell wine, which was very lively. The ancient scenery has disappeared without a trace.

5. swallow the moon.

Yanhua Nongyue: Located in Licheng Village, Wuyang, next to Wuchuan Gong Xue, there are Yanhua Pool and Yanhua Well. The water in the pool is very clear, so you can learn. The bright moon is in the sky, overlooking the water, and the scenery is clouded and becomes a spectacle.

6, limited door flying snow

Xue Fei: Located in the restricted waters of Wuyang, it is the estuary of Jianjiang River, the intersection of the estuaries leading to Zhanjiang and the South China Sea, and the only way for Wuchuan to reach Zhanjiang or the ocean by boat. The sea area is narrow and dangerous, the current is fast, and the reefs on both sides are densely covered, so it is called restricted door. The quicksand by the sea is fine and white, and sometimes the wind and waves roll like snowflakes. Sometimes the waves are rough, soaring and spectacular. Wuchuan in western Guangdong has many folk languages with different pronunciations, especially Wuyang dialect and Huangpo dialect. Nursery rhymes are original dialect poems. Wuchuan dialect is the most similar to Cantonese, and it is a branch of ancient Cantonese. Wuchuan dialect still perfectly retains the grammar and pronunciation of ancient Chinese, and is a living fossil of ancient Chinese.

"Grandma goes to the village" in Wuchuan nursery rhymes (returning to her family);

Hook the snake, mouse tail, grandma went to the village without tail and bought a cake for you.

Note: Hook the snake gecko; Go to the village-go back to your mother's house; Follow the tail-follow; The road of waiting-bring a personal letter.

-

"Dianjiaoluo" in Wuchuan nursery rhymes (a game);

Pointed loach, in the same boat, Sanguan took the sedan chair, termites took the bridge, the bridge twists and turns, twisted to Sanguan intersection, picked up a dead dog at the intersection, and returned to Pidad to send soju.

Note: return-go home; Send soju-as a snack, we should have it.

This children's song is full of Wuchuan dialect features and ancient rhyme. If you read it in Mandarin, it will not rhyme, but it will be extremely awkward, because the ancient rhyme is not well preserved in Mandarin, but it rhymes with the authentic Wuchuan dialect (Wuyang Huang Po dialect). You can refer to the ancient rhyme data: loach and boat belong to the level rhyme; Sedan chairs and bridges belong to the eighth part of Linz Zheng Yun. Twist, mouth, dog and wine all belong to Pingyunshui.
