Stepping into the antique door, a small bridge and flowing water, Yuyu Qionglou, a poetic picture came into view. On the surrounding slopes, colorful flowers are in full bloom, and tall and straight trees stand on the roadside. Bees are buzzing and butterflies are flying, which is very charming. Walking on the winding stone path, the mirror-clear lake water unfolds before my eyes, and the smoke waves curl and the trees are picturesque, just like a quiet and elegant landscape painting.
Rows of ancient buildings by the pool are elegant and chic. It is Shuiminglou, the former residence of Mao Bijiang and Qinhuai beauty Dong Xiaowan, one of the four great talents in the south of the Yangtze River. I saw a mahogany house with cornices and corners, with pavilions and pavilions all over it. The building with blue bricks and red tiles is exquisite and elegant, and you can vaguely see the pine and bamboo sticking out of the wall. As soon as I entered the gate, there was an open-air hall in which stood two thousand-year-old pine trees. Although they are weather-beaten, they are still full of vitality, as if welcoming visitors. Step into the corridor of the ring road, stroll back and forth, and look out through the exquisite leaky window. Clear water, boats, arch bridges, soft willows, bamboos and secluded paths form a beautiful picture. Spring breeze sweeps across your face, and you see a panoramic view. There are four antique wooden chairs in the main hall, and portraits of talented people and beautiful women are hung on the wall. Looking at the vivid portraits, I seem to see that I have ventured across the border and leaned against the wooden chair, raised my brush, wrote poems and painted, and recited poems; Dong Xiaowan is playing the guzheng at the clear water's edge, and his slender fingers are banging on the strings, sliding out of the melodious music. This kind of uncontested scene is very charming.
Rugao, the beauty lies in the water painting garden, the water painting garden, drunk in the Shuiminglou!
