Cheap doesn't mean unsafe. The most important thing for safety is the ignition temperature. If it is high-temperature porcelain fired above 1.300 degrees, such as Jingdezhen porcelain, you can definitely use it with confidence and it will not fade. If it is 1000 degrees or lower temperature porcelain, it is not easy to use, such as Chaozhou porcelain. Distinguish whether it is high temperature, you can look at it from the decoration first. If it is a traditional underglaze decoration such as blue and white, underglaze red, you can use it with confidence. If it is a color painting, most of it is a new pastel decoration on the glaze, and it will not work well if it is fired at 800 degrees. There is also a kind of glass. If the glaze color is very bright, showing milky white texture, it is generally China porcelain. If the color is rich but the luster is bright and deep, it is high temperature glass. The bowls of a few dollars seen in the market are either knocked down by porcelain factories (not because they are toxic, but obviously deformed and flawed). Usually blue and white porcelain, a dozen wrapped in straw rope, can be used with confidence. Either Chaozhou porcelain is rich in color, don't buy colorful porcelain, mostly low-temperature porcelain, which is harmful.
