When the musician Pachbel wandered to England, he fell in love with a local girl Barbara, but Barbara's father disliked Pachbel's poor family and failed to get married. Later, when the war broke out, he went to the battlefield and separated from her for three years. For three years, she turned down all the suitors. In order to make Barbara give up, her father had Pachibel's body forged and brought back from the front. Barbara believed that he had been killed and cried for three days and nights. On the third night, she cut her wrist and committed suicide.
On the front line, in the narrow escape war, every lonely night, Barbara will come to his mind. At that time, he was going to write a song as an unmarried gift for her. However, only one-third of the song was written, and he was called to the battlefield, where he finished two-thirds of the song.
Finally, the war that lasted for three years ended, and he returned to the town, but he got the bad news of Barbara's double suicide. He was heartbroken and sadly finished the last third of the piece. Finally, in front of Barbara's grave, he played the song "Cannon" with tears in his eyes.
