What should I pay attention to after bagging longan?
After bagging longan fruit, the requirements for microenvironment in the bag are strict. The environment of high temperature, high humidity and low oxygen is not suitable for the growth of longan fruit, which often causes significant fruit drop and aggravation of the disease. Therefore, according to our experience, when using bagging to protect fruits, we should pay attention to the following problems: (1) Before bagging, we must do a good job of pest control and disease prevention, and spray pesticides on bagging trees once to reduce the occurrence of fruit diseases and insect pests during bagging.

(2) Bags should be used properly for fruit covers. Generally, plastic gauze bags with strong air permeability are selected, especially light-colored bags such as green and white, which will make the fruits lighter, brighter and more beautiful when harvested. The effect of non-woven fabric or newspaper bagging is not as good as that of gauze bag, which has poor air permeability and serious fruit drop in rainy season or wet season.

(3) Choose a suitable bagging period, especially in a year with a long rainy season, and bagging can only be implemented after the rainy season. Bagging in rainy season is not only a serious fruit drop, but also an obvious disease, which leads to mildew on the surface of the fruit and obviously reduces the storage resistance of the fruit after harvest.

Bagging longan has high technical requirements for fruit protection, and its effect is greatly influenced by weather and bagging materials. All aspects are handled well, and the effect of bagging to improve fruit quality is very obvious. Poor treatment may be counterproductive, and the bagged fruit is worse than the control. In addition, bagging requires a lot of manpower and material resources. At present, bagging technology is recommended for orchards producing fine longan, but it is not suitable for large-scale production.
