Why did Zhu Yuanzhang send Chen Cheng out of the Western Regions?
As early as 1387, after the Ming Dynasty wiped out the remnants of the Northern Yuan Dynasty, Timur sent envoys to Nanjing, honoring the Ming Dynasty as "returning to China". However, according to Brewah, a French historian, in his book Timur Empire, "his lifelong dream is to help China". In view of the above situation, Zhu Yuanzhang prepared to send an envoy to Zhenxi region with the intention of strengthening the defense in the northwest region, and Chen Chengze undertook this task.
