Laizhou City is located in the northeast of Shandong Province, the west of Yantai City and the west of Laizhou Bay in Bohai Sea. Zhaoyuan City in the east, Laixi City in the southeast, Li Anping City in the south, Changyi City in the southwest and Bohai Bay in the west and north.

Laizhou is livable and suitable for business, civilized and harmonious. The urban built-up area is 54 square kilometers, and the urbanization rate of permanent population is 54.6%. The number of outstanding students in the college entrance examination kept ahead of the whole province, and the Chinese Wushu School boarded CCTV Spring Festival Evening five times, and was rated as the first batch of counties with basically balanced development of compulsory education in China. The "Four Virtues Project" became a national promotion model, and Comrade Li Denghai was awarded "Model of the Times" and "The Most Beautiful Struggler in China". Rural revitalization has been solidly promoted, and the poor people have been steadily lifted out of poverty. The experience and practice of "Zetan Model" and "Hutong Field" system were popularized in the whole province, and our city was identified as a demonstration county for rural revitalization in Qilu.
