1. The people's court shall support the request of the parties to return the bride price paid according to the custom, if it is found that it belongs to the following circumstances:
1. Both parties failed to go through the marriage registration formalities;
2. Both parties have gone through the marriage registration formalities, but they have not lived together;
3. Premarital payment brings difficulties to the payer.
Second, the determination of bride price distribution:
1. If the bride price is given to the woman's parents, whether before or after marriage, it belongs to the property of the woman's parents, neither the woman's personal property nor the husband and wife's property.
2. It belongs to the woman's personal property if it is given to her by the man or his parents before marriage registration.
If the bride price is paid to the woman after marriage registration, then the money belongs to both husband and wife. Unless it is clearly stated that the bride price is for the woman personally, of course, this requires the woman to provide evidence.

The application of items 2 and 3 of the preceding paragraph is conditional on the divorce of both parties.
