Extended data
In the fifty-third year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (17 14), three imperial envoys of Qin Dynasty wrote the stone carving "The sea judges the south sky" at the seaside of Xiamaling, the boundary between heaven and earth in China.
The southern sky refers to the area where the sun moves, "trial" refers to splitting in half, and "sea" refers to the South China Sea. The comprehensive meaning of "judging the south by sea" means that the South China Sea is divided into the South China Sea and the North Sea. In the southeast of this stone carving, there is another cut stone, which represents the height of the sun at noon from winter to Sunday in Sanya. The stone carving of "Hai Shen Nan Tian" represents the height of the North Pole here.
196 1, Guo Moruo wrote seven characters "Tianya Haijiao Tourist Area" on the other side of Tianya Stone. At this point, this coastal area around Tianya Bay has become a veritable "Tianya Haijiao".
