Historical evolution of Jingjiang
Jingjiang was founded in the seventh year of Chenghua in Ming Dynasty (147 1), with a history of 544 years.

Jingjiang was called Mazhou and Matuosha in ancient times. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Jingjiang had not yet become a land, and only a unique mountain peak named Gushan emerged in the surging river. Later, due to the tidal erosion of the river, pieces of sandbars gradually rose at the foot of the lonely mountain. The sandbar became a piece of land, which people called "Matosha". A broken stone tablet was found in Jiaoshan Port (now Dongxing Town), with a few lines of inscription, "This sand is Wu Dadi's big sand for herding horses ..." Wu Dadi was Sun Quan, the monarch of Wu. In Jingjiang dialect, "grazing" and "white", "big" and "carrying" are homophonic. If it is wrong, it will be mistaken for "white horse carrying sand", and over time, it will be simplified to "horse carrying sand".

Jingjiang was established in the Three Kingdoms and before the first year of Wu Chiwu (238), and was organized as Jiyang Township, Yanling County, the second administrative region of Wu State. In the second year of Wu Chiwu (239), it was the state where Sun Quan, the Lord of Wu, herded horses and belonged to Piling County.

In this process, a large number of refugees retreated with Yue Fei. When they came to Yinsha, they found that the land was fertile and the water plants were rich, so they settled here. The Yuan Dynasty belonged to Jiangyin Prefecture.

In that year 1 1 month, the court approved it. In order to pray for Matosha's peace and harmony, Emperor Chenghua agreed to set up a county and named it Jingjiang.
