How to operate cad filling box
In the process of CAD design, sometimes in order to distinguish the appearance, texture and material characteristics of graphics, graphics are filled with color/pattern. So, do you know how CAD fills in colors? In this article, I will share with you the methods and steps of CAD color filling. Let's have a look!

1. After opening the drawing file in CAD, call the CAD filling command as follows:

(1) Click Graphics-Hatch in the menu bar.

(2) Click Common-Drawing-Hatch in the ribbon.

(3) directly input the command: HATCH, or the command shortcut key: h; Click enter.

2. After executing this command, the dialog box of pattern filling and gradient color will pop up. You can choose the filling method according to actual needs: pattern filling/gradient color filling.

I take solid color filling as an example to briefly introduce the steps of CAD color filling.

(1) On the Hatch tab, click the … button behind the pattern. In the pop-up hatch palette, click to switch to other predefined tabs, select SOLID, and then click OK.

(2) After selecting the CAD filling pattern, click the check box after the color, and select the color to be filled in the pop-up drop-down menu. If you don't have the color you want, you can click Select Color and select the appropriate color in the Select Color dialog box. As shown in the figure below:

(3) After all the settings are completed, click the Add: Pick Point button.

(4) According to the command prompt, pick up any point in the drawing that needs to be filled with color, and click OK to complete the CAD color filling.
