First of all, it is divided into urban railway (subway light rail) and intercity railway (express train, high-speed rail, etc. )
The area between subway and light rail lies in passenger capacity, but it is generally difficult to distinguish between them in China. Nowadays, cities are basically subways, such as Shanghai, which are collectively called rail transit (including magnetic levitation).
Intercity railways are mainly divided into ordinary trains, express trains and bullet trains (high-speed trains are also a kind of bullet trains).
In China, it can be distinguished mainly by the number of trains. The full name is a general-speed train (within 120km/h), and there are K (express), T (express) and Z (through express) express trains (above 150km/h) in front, and there are C (intercity), D (bullet train) and G (bullet train) in front. Because each carriage of a bullet train has its own power system, the speed can be more than 250 kilometers per hour.
