There are 33 communities and 335 villages in the city. Among them, Wangren Town and Jinshan Street (including 1 community and 34 villages) are managed by Huangshi Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Daye is located in the southeast of Hubei Province, on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, between the urban belts of Wuhan, Ezhou, Huangshi and Jiujiang, and in the hinterland of Hubei Metallurgical Corridor.
