Cangzhou is located in the east of Jizhong Plain, with low terrain and little fluctuation, with the highest elevation of17m and the lowest elevation of 2m. The terrain inclines from southwest to northeast, the west is part of the edge of alluvial fan in front of Taihang Mountain, the middle is a vast plain formed by alluvial of Yellow River, Zhanghe River, Hutuo River and Tanghe River, and the east is a coastal marine lake plain formed by tidal accumulation in Bohai Sea.
