Brief introduction of Taosha town
Taosha Town has a long history. Ancestors left footprints in Guzai Mountain in Shang and Zhou Dynasties. Longtang Village, the earliest village, was formed in Jian 'an period of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It was named after gold miners found gold in the nearby river sand in the early Southern and Northern Dynasties. Taosha Town is located in the southeast border of Fengcheng City, at the junction of Fengcheng and Linchuan, and the provincial highway S2 14 Fengfu Highway passes through it. Now it has jurisdiction over 2 1 village (neighborhood) committee, 198 natural villages and 265 villagers' groups with a population of 50,000, all belonging to Jiangyou ethnic group of Han nationality. The total area of Taosha Town is 175.5 km, including 48,000 mu of cultivated land, 0.47 million mu of woodland, and the forest coverage rate is 60%. There are 48 reservoirs above small scale, which are known as "six mountains and half water, two fields and half roads". Taosha Town is only 20 kilometers away from Fuzhou Interchange of Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway, and it is a neighbor of Fuzhou. In addition, the provincial highway from Fuzhou to Fengcheng crosses the border, which constitutes the convenient and fast traffic advantage of Taosha Town. Gan dialect is popular in the town, and all of them belong to Jiangyou nationality of Han nationality.
