PDW-700 is Sony's latest high-definition professional CD-ROM camcorder. It is recorded by 50Mbps MPEG-2 422P@HL long GOP, which can provide full HD resolution of 1920x 1080. It also supports a variety of HD/SD recording formats, including 1080p/i and 720p. Through the upgrade, it can also be compatible with high-definition formats such as XDCAM HD 4:2:0, as well as recording and playing in MPEG IMX and DVCAM SD formats.
