Why is the Taijiao line pulled by two machines? The Yueshan workshop of Xinxiang Locomotive Depot is responsible for the traction of freight trains between Yueshan and Changzhi North on Taijiao Line 150 km. Taijiao line is an important channel for coal transportation in Shanxi, and it is also the most complicated section of the line in the group company. This line has many ramps, bends, tunnels and bridges, which makes the train operation difficult.

For a long time, SS4G locomotives have been mainly used as traction tasks in Taijiao Line. Due to the influence of line conditions and locomotive performance, it is necessary to add 1 locomotive to the downlink freight trains at Jincheng North, Gaoping and Dongtianliang stations. The upward freight train needs to pick up a locomotive at these stations for the supply of the downward train. In this process, locomotives change lanes and occupy tracks, waiting for additional locomotives wastes time, and two-machine traction wastes people and vehicles, which restricts the improvement of transportation efficiency.

On the basis of full investigation and many tests, the group company listed the locomotive replacement of Taijiao Line as an important work in 2022. The power of HXD2 AC-driven freight electric locomotive is 1.5 times that of SS4G, and it is not necessary to reconnect the two machines. One locomotive can meet the transportation requirements. In the later stage, the unloading and changing operation of Yueshan Station will be cancelled and directly pulled to Zhengzhou, greatly improving the transportation efficiency.

In September, in order to ensure the smooth replacement of locomotives on Taijiao Line, the section organized two groups of more than 50 managers and technical backbones to observe and study in Datong Locomotive Works, and fully mastered the knowledge of locomotive equipment layout, characteristics and handling precautions. Compiled the textbook "Operating Rules and Emergency Treatment Measures of HXD2 Electric Locomotive" and other textbooks10.3 million copies, and carried out theoretical and practical training for 889 people.

Aiming at the task of the first batch of 22 newly connected HXD2 locomotives, a receiving working group was set up in this section to formulate the receiving scheme in detail, judge the return safety risks, refine and sort out the 1 1 risk items such as personal safety, locomotive escape, long ramp braking, etc., formulate 56 safety control measures in a targeted manner, and improve the operation instructions and flow charts of locomotives. Focusing on the new locomotive routing configuration and crew arrangement, the locomotive operation scheme is continuously optimized to ensure the safe operation of the first batch of locomotives.

As of February 9th, 65438, 9 new HXD2 locomotives have been connected to this section, and the first batch of locomotives are scheduled to be put into operation before February 20th.
