On March 25th, 2005, Sichuan Provincial People's Government (Chuanfu Civil Affairs [2005] No.3) gave an official reply:
1. The offices of Xiaohe, Shahe, Chi Chang, Zheng Zhi, Xia Liang, Dahe, Chang Gan, Guimin, Shangliang, Yangba District 10 and the two offices in the suburbs and urban areas of Nanjiang Town, Bazhong City, which were originally approved, shall be revoked.
Second, Nanjiang County cancelled 25 millboards, water caves, stone mines, bridge dams, Jinpen, Hongding, Zhu Ling, Gongwu, Jiuding, Huaqiao, Pu Chuan, Liangshui, East Asia, Changzheng, Wachi, Baiyuan, Guangxu, Beach, Hongxing, Xinli, Xiqing, Yuquan, Guangming, Ganxi and Xinmin.
Third, Nanjiang County has expanded the administrative areas of 23 townships.
Incorporate the administrative areas of the original Nianpan and Shuidong Town into Nanjiang Town. No.54, Wenxing Road, Nanjiang Town People's Government.
Incorporate the original stone mine and the administrative area of Qiao Ba Township into Dongyu Town. Dongyu Town People's Government is located in Dongyu Street.
Incorporate the original administrative areas of Hongding Township and Zhu Ling Township into Chichang Town. Chi Chang Town People's Government in Chi Chang Street.
Incorporate the administrative area of huaqiao town into Zheng Zhi Town. Zheng Zhi Town People's Government is located in Zheng Zhi Street.
Incorporate the administrative area of Dongya Township into the next two towns. Xia Liang Town People's Government in Xia Liang Street.
Incorporate the original administrative area of Baiyuan Township into Dahe Town. Dahe Town People's Government in Dahe Street.
The original taoyuan town was renamed Guangwushan Town, and some state-owned forest farms in Xinmin, Guangming, Zhaipo, Guanba, Yuquan Township and Shiyang Village in Guanba Township were merged into Guangwushan Town. Guangwushan Town People's Government in Taoyuan Street.
Incorporate the administrative area of Guangxu Township into Chang Gan Town. Chang Gan Town People's Government in Chang Gan Street.
Incorporate the administrative area of the original Xinmin Township except the state-owned forest farm into Yangba Town. Yangba Town People's Government in Yangba Street.
Incorporate the original administrative area of Jinpen Township into Gaota Township. Gaota Town People's Government is located in Gaota Street.
Incorporate the former administrative area of Hongwu Township into Tianchi Township. Tianchi Town People's Government in Tianchi Street.
Incorporate the administrative area of Jiuding Township into Houjia Township. Houjia Town People's Government in Houjia Street.
Incorporate the former administrative area of Puchuan Township into Shuangliu Township. Shuangliu Town People's Government is located in Shuangliu Street.
Incorporate the administrative area of Liangshui Township into Yuantan Township. Yuantan Town People's Government in Yuantan Street.

Before adjustment, there were 1 1 towns and 62 townships. After adjustment, there are 48 townships in the county, including 1 1 townships and 37 townships.
