Is there a difference between Taoist incense burners and Buddhist incense burners?
There is generally no difference between incense burners used in Buddhism and Taoism. Artisans should learn from many aspects when making incense burners. A successful incense burner basically combines the structural methods of Buddhism, Taoism and other sects. When we say "yes", we mean that there are differences between the carved patterns and decorative patterns of the incense burner. For example, the burner of Taoism is basically similar to a tripod, with decorative patterns similar to those of Oracle Bone Inscriptions, and some are also engraved with runes. It can be said that Taoism has the most patterns, while Buddhism is relatively simple.

It doesn't matter if you say no, because the incense burner was created by the orientals in combination with the local reality after Buddhism spread to the east. The scope of application is mainly China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), Japan and a few countries in Southeast Asia. When Buddhism was introduced into China, there was no such thing as incense burner.

But burning incense was indeed before Buddhism and after Taoism.

In the teaching method of Buddhism, burning incense is one of the five kinds of offerings and six kinds of offerings, and its purpose is to make merit practice everywhere. On the eighth day, the Great Sun Sutra said, "Burn incense all over the Dharma. For example, when the Tianshu King opens, the fragrance naturally goes against the wind and moves with the wind. Bodhi is also fragrant, a merit, burning it with wisdom fire, freeing the wind, and turning to sorrow for everything, so it is called burning incense. "
