Huangshan bauhinia, a bush, 2-4 meters high; Trunks and branches are usually loose; Branchlets are gray at first, dark brown after drying, with many dense lenticels, and brown pubescent when tender. It grows in sparse forests and shrubs in low-altitude mountainous areas, and is cultivated by roadsides or gardens. The type specimens were collected from Anhui.
