By the end of 20 12, there were 1 national intangible cultural heritage protection projects and 1 provincial intangible cultural heritage protection projects in Miluo city, such as "the story of raising pavilions in Changle", "the legend of Qu Yuan" and "Quzi Temple Festival". The Dragon Boat Festival customs along the Miluo River have a set of rich, unique and mysterious customs, which are distributed in the middle and lower reaches of the Miluo River Basin in Miluo City. The Dragon Boat Festival along the Miluo River generally begins on the first day of the fifth lunar month and ends on the fifteenth. The whole festival has a long history, broad masses, rich diversity, rich culture, high enthusiasm for participation and far-reaching influence.
In 2005, "Miluo River Dragon Boat Festival Custom" entered the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage protection list. On September 30, 2009, it was included in the United Nations representative list of intangible cultural heritage of mankind. Dihua drum is a kind of lantern dance. At first, it was limited to traditional festivals such as the Spring Festival, and was interspersed with big lanterns. It performs, sings and dances with "Lion", "Dragon Lantern" and "Colorful Lotus Boat". The plot is vivid, the content is simple, the performance is interesting and deeply loved. Later, this cultural custom gradually entered people's daily life, and folk weddings and funerals also played the role of lanterns.
