Jiangdu "March 3rd" Temple Fair

It is said that this kind of meeting began in the Han Dynasty. According to legend, at the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Mang rebelled and the world was in chaos. On March 3rd, Liu Xiu, the ninth emperor of Emperor Gaozu, was chased to Cai Jiazhuang by Wang Mang and saved by a fisherman. Later, the Zhuang people remembered Liu Xiu's blessing and specially built the Golden Dragon King Temple (the villagers thought that the emperor was the embodiment of Golden Dragon). Since then, every year on March 3, villagers from four townships and eight towns have come to burn incense and worship, which has gradually evolved into a temple fair.

Jiangdu Dragon Lantern Festival

Jiangdu, formerly known as Longchuan, is the "Dragon City" in the eyes of the people. Names of people, places, things and activities named after "Dragon" abound in Jiangdu. However, the annual Dragon Lantern Festival can best reflect the fate between Jiangdu people and dragons. As a folk dance with a long history of the Chinese nation, Dragon Lantern Dance is very popular all over China, and even Chinese in Southeast Asian countries have the custom of Dragon Lantern Dance. But Jiangdu people's dragon lanterns have their own uniqueness.
