Yuncheng, also known as Yunnei, is the title of Datong in some periods before and after the Tang Dynasty. Yunzhong, Yunnei and Yunzhou are the appellations of Datong in some periods around the Tang Dynasty. After Yuncheng, it is another name for Datong. Datong was first called Pingcheng Daijing Hengan Hengzhou in history. Datong, a prefecture-level city in Shanxi Province, is one of the central cities in the border area of Shanxi, Hebei and Mongolia in China approved by the State Council, and it is an important comprehensive energy base.
Yuncheng characteristics
Rich in natural resources, known as the "sulfur capital" and "hometown of marble", there are more than 50 kinds of mineral deposits such as pyrite, marble, granite, limestone and kaolin, among which the reserves and products of pyrite rank first in the world, and the recoverable reserves of marble, limestone and granite reach1654.38 billion cubic meters. The famous Yunfu pyrite mine is located in this area. Known as "Kingdom of Stone Materials" and "Hometown of Marble", it is one of the "Four Stone Processing and Production Bases" in China.
