First, bangs chop firewood.

This love legend can be said to be a household name in Hunan, and with the interpretation and singing of the Flower Drum Opera "Liu Hai Pi Chai", it is also familiar to many audiences in the country. However, few people know the birthplace of this drama-Changde, Hunan. According to "Wuling Treasures" written by Mr. Zhou in Changde, Hunan Province, "There are many ancient wells in Changde, the famous ones are Siyanjing, Loofah Well and Sunflower Well. Loofah Well is located at the intersection of Wentiao Lane and Loofah Well Lane in Chi Pan Street. Legend has it that there are images of loofah in well water, and images of loofah also appear in containers such as buckets and wooden pots, hence the name. Looking at the well, the wellhead is more than five feet in diameter and about three feet in depth. The upper mouth is small and the lower abdomen is big, like an inverted cylinder. Well water is clear, warm in winter and cool in summer, and there is a long drought. Loofah Well has a long history, so it is impossible to verify when it was built. The folk tales of "Liu Hai hits the golden toad" and "Liu Hai splits firewood" in Changde originated from the loyal love story of Liu Hai and Hu Xiuying.

According to legend, there is a golden toad in the loofah well in Changde City. It often spews a white light from the wellhead at night and goes straight into the sky. People who have a way can ascend to heaven through this white light. Liu Hai, a young man living by the well, is poor, kind and filial. He often goes to the nearby mountains to cut firewood, sell firewood and buy rice, and live alone with his mother. One day, a fox in the forest turned into a beautiful and handsome girl, Hu Xiuying. She stopped Liu Hai from coming home and proposed to him. After the marriage, Hu Xiuying wanted to help Liu Hai ascend to heaven, spit a white bead and let Liu Hai fish in the loofah well as bait. The golden toad began to bite and fish, and Liu Hai rode on the toad's back, jumped, put on feathers and died.

In ancient times, Liu Hai and his son lived next to Loofah Well in Wuling District of Changde City. Liu's mother wept bitterly because she missed her dead husband. Liu Hai is very hardworking and filial. She goes up the mountain to chop wood every day to support her mother. In the mountain where bangs cut firewood, there lived a fox who had been practicing for many years. She was refined into a treasure, which can be transformed into a human form in her mouth. By this time, she has become a fortuneteller, and she will be immortal after hundreds of years of practice. She admired Liu Hai very much, so she became homesick, named Hu Xiuying, and decided to marry Liu Hai. However, for fear of bringing trouble to Hu Xiuying, Liu Hai refused several times. Seeing Hu Xiuying's sincerity, she agreed to marry Hu Xiuying. After returning home, Liu Hai told her mother that she also liked it and agreed to their marriage. Liu Hai then went to Chicken Goose Lane downtown to buy something for marriage. There is a small temple next to Ji 'e Lane. There are eighteen arhats in the temple. Among them, ten arhats and a group of disciples (golden toad) are also practicing in the dark. He got a string of money and became a fortune teller. If he can get Hu Xiuying's orb, he can live forever and go to heaven immediately. Ten arhats saw that Hu Xiuying and Liu Hai were married, so they had a bad heart. He led his disciples to take Hu Xiuying's orb. Hu Xiuying will show his true colors when he loses the ball, but in desperation, he has to tell Liu Hai the truth. When Liu Hai knew about it, he didn't blame Hu Xiuying. He took a stone axe for chopping wood at home to fight ten arhats. Finally, with the help of Axe God and Hu Xiuying sisters, Liu Hai defeated them and got the sphere. From then on, they lived a happy life.

Later, in order to commemorate Liu Hai's filial piety, he built a toad spring temple next to Loofah Well to worship the statue of Liu Hai. Hunan ancient painting dramas Liu Hai Xi Jin Chan and Liu Hai Pi Chai, which spread all over the country, were adapted from this allusion. "

Second, Peach Blossom Garden

1500 years ago, Tao Yuanming, a great poet in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, wrote a famous poem "The Peach Blossom Spring" (the preface to his poem "The Peach Blossom Spring"). It is said that a fisherman in Wuling was sailing by a stream when he suddenly saw a gap in the mountain, so he threw down the boat, walked through the gap and found another world. In this world, the land is flat and spacious, the houses are clean and tidy, the people live a simple and rich life, and men, women and children are happy. When they saw the fisherman, they were surprised and invited him home to eat and drink. They claimed that their ancestors fled the war in the Qin Dynasty and lived in the Peach Blossom Garden. These people don't know that there was a Han Dynasty after the Qin Dynasty, and there was a A Jin Dynasty after the Han Dynasty. Fishermen lived in this Peach Blossom Garden for a few days and said goodbye to them when they were homesick. Once out of the Peach Blossom Garden, you can't find it if you look for it later.

Song of taohuajiang

Author: Wang Wei

A fisherman is drifting, enjoying the spring mountain, and the peach blossoms on both sides go to Tianjin.

Looking at the brightly colored trees, he never considered the distance, did everything in Qingxi and ignored people.

This is a cave. The hole is so narrow that he can only climb in, but then it opens up on a wide and flat path.

Looking from a distance, the clouds are filled with trees, and thousands of houses are hidden between flowers and bamboo.

The woodcutter told him his name in Chinese. These people all wore clothes from the Qin Dynasty.

Juren lives in Wulingyuan, in farms and gardens, just like a world.

In the clear moonlight, they lived quietly under the pine trees until sunrise, when the gloomy sky was full of roosters and dogs barking.

... hearing the news of a stranger, people gathered together and everyone invited him home and asked him where he was born.

In the morning, alleys and paths cleared the petals for him, and at dusk, fishermen and farmers brought him their goods.

They left this world a long time ago, and they came here to seek refuge. Since then, they have lived like angels, happily away from the world.

No one in the cave knows anything outside, and outsiders can only see empty mountains and thick clouds.

The fisherman didn't realize his great luck and began to consider the connection between the country, the family and the secular.

He found his way out of the cave again, passed through mountains and rivers, and planned to come back later. At that time, he had told his relatives.

He studied every step he took and kept it firmly in mind, forgetting that cliffs and peaks might have different appearances.

There is no doubt that to enter the depths of the mountains, a green river will take you into a misty forest.

But now, there are spring floods and floating peaches everywhere. Which way should we go to find the hidden source? .

A high bridge appeared on the clouds and asked the fishing boats in the rocks.

Peach blossoms follow the running water all day. Where is the cave in Qingxi?

[Notes]

(1) Taohuaxi: According to the records of the Qing Dynasty, "Taohuaxi is located in Changde, Hunan Province, 25 miles southwest of Taoyuan County. It originated in Taohua Mountain and flowed into Yuan in the north."

(2) Blurred: the appearance is unclear. Flying Bridge: The bridge is as high as the sky. The haze between Shan Ye.

(3) Shijie: a big stone protruding from the water. West Bank: West. These two sentences say that the flying bridge is shrouded in smoke in the distance, but it is not true. Go to the west of the big stone by the stream and ask the fisherman on the fishing boat.

(4) all day: all day.

(5) Cave: refers to Taoyuan Cave. These two sentences were asked by the poet to the fisherman: I saw peach blossoms flowing away with the stream all day. Where is the Peach Blossom Cave in taohuajiang?

[brief comment]

Tao Yuanming wrote poems with the theme of Taohuayuan and Taohuaxi, which first appeared in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Later, many poets wrote poems on the theme of Peach Blossom Spring and Peach Blossom Creek. This poem Peach Blossom Creek expresses the poet's yearning and pursuit for Taoyuan, a secluded place, and shows the author's own interest in life as an alpine hermit. It is well-founded to say that Zhang Xu's poems reveal the art of harvesting weeds. You see, the poet has placed eight scenes in his four poems, namely, Flying Bridge, Wild Smoke, Rocky Mountain, Fishing Boat, Peach Blossom, Running Water, Cave and Qingxi, which can be said to be the colorful parts of cursive script, while Faint, Separated, This is one of them. In addition, from the artistic conception of the poem, the first sentence "faint" is already empty, and then it is lined with "flying" and "wild", giving people an erratic speed. The word "ask" in the second sentence should not be underestimated. According to "Peach Blossom Spring", although the fisherman went to the Peach Blossom Spring Resort, he didn't know where his cave was when he went again, so the result of asking was only confusion. There is no trace of peach blossom drifting all day to set off the peach blossom source, so it increases the illusory meaning of the poem. The last sentence is completely immersed in a kind of doubt, which makes readers feel more and more hazy. Therefore, by summarizing the artistic conception of this poem, we can know that the work is full of ethereal artistic conception of the poet's cursive art. Because the poet is a calligrapher, this poem shows a wild and unrestrained character and elegant and romantic poetic style. The whole poem is centered on "lamenting that there is nowhere to escape", vaguely revealing the melancholy of the poet's ideal realm, showing his praise for the quiet environment and his pursuit of seclusion. The poet's pursuit of the ideal state in his heart is reflected in The Peach Blossom Garden.

[Introduction to the Poet]

Zhang Xu was born in Wu (now Suzhou, Jiangsu). Kaiyuan and Tianbao are alive. He used to be the county magistrate of Changshu. Known as cursive script, he danced with Li Bai's poems and Pei Jian, and was called "Three Musts". Lustful wine, screaming away every time I get drunk, still free to play, and calling myself Zhang Dian. It also shows his enthusiasm for artistic hobbies, such as "forgetting me" as the folks say.

Third, the legend of Guqi Mountain

There is a Gucci in Shuangqiaoping Township, Dingcheng District, and there is also a Gucci in Baizhi Township, Linli County. According to legend, a long time ago, this place was still 800 Li Dongting Lake. Local villagers also cultivate and fish. They work at sunrise, rest at sunset, unite and help each other and live in harmony. Although they have to work hard, they live and work quietly.

Suddenly, one year, the dragon in the lake often overturned fishing boats, drowned countless fishermen, rolled up the lake and flooded thousands of hectares of farmland, so that it was afraid to go down the lake and could not cultivate. In the past, they had plenty of food and clothing, but now people live in poverty.

Unwilling to be lonely, the fairies living in the Heavenly Palace went down to earth together, visited the Five Mountains and visited Wuling. On this day, they came to Dongting Lake and found that the fairyland on earth had become a hell on earth. They pressed the clouds and observed carefully. Wherever they went, the villagers were naked and hungry, crying to them about the bad behavior of the dragon. The tragic experience of the villagers aroused the great indignation of the fairies, who didn't care about the heaven's ban on interfering in human affairs.

In order to avenge the killing of his son, the Dragon King complained to the Heaven, and the Jade Emperor sent heavenly soldiers to descend to earth, turning the seven fairies into seven peaks. Later generations built a fairy temple on the mountain to commemorate their good deeds and often burn incense. Another legend says that fairies still live in the mountains. The fairy cave I saw with my own eyes on the mountain is like a home with everything.

Guqi Mountain got its name from this.

Fourthly, Li Bai and Changde.

Li Bai and Hu Ping

When it comes to Hu Ping, people will naturally think of Li Bai's poem: "The kettle falls over the waterfall, and the peach blossoms fall at the entrance." These two poems can be said to be panoramic sketches of Hu Ping. They are magnificent, beautiful, broad-minded, brightly colored and easy to understand, which is exactly Li Bai's consistent poetic style.

When was this poem written by Li Bai? Why did he come to this remote place? Why is there only two sentences in this poem?

Chamu carved Shimen county annals? Hu Pingshan in the Records of Mountains and Rivers records: "It is more than 300 miles north of the county, and it is the ancestor of Shimen, Changle, Songzi, Zhijiang and Yidu Mountain. In the Tang Dynasty, Li Bai exiled Yelang, and later there was a saying that' the pot bottle flies over the waterfall, and the peach blossom falls into the hole'. "

In 2002, the author visited Hu Ping and found several stone tablets in the ruins of the former site of Nantian Temple in Wuyun, Nanping. These two poems were also mentioned in an inscription on a stone tablet during the Qianlong period.

Li Bai was 58 years old (758) and exiled Yelang (now Tongzi, Guizhou). Two years ago, he was called by Lin to Lushan as an assistant. This year, Lin and his younger brother Su Zong competed for the throne. In the second year of defeat, Li Bai was arrested and imprisoned in Xunyang (now Jiujiang, Jiangxi). At that time, Cui Huan, the Xuanwei ambassador, Song Ruosi, the suggestion ambassador and Guo Ziyi, the king of Fenyang, were rescued and released from prison. But Tang Suzong gave him the punishment of banishing Yelang.

Li Bai exiled Yelang by waterway. "Pan Dongting, go up to the Three Gorges to Wushan." It can be seen that it is going up the Yangtze River, not Yelang. The following year, at the age of 59 (759), he was pardoned. "Leaving Baidi Caiyun, Jiangling will return thousands of miles a day." It is a poem that reflects his happy mood after being forgiven.

From Jiujiang to Wushan, Li Bai experienced more than a year. Even if I go upstream in a wooden boat, it won't take so long. Judging from the poems he wrote during his exile, although he was in exile, he was quite free to move and communicate. Some North Korean officials sent him clothes and some wrote to him. The local officials along the way also warmly entertained him, recited poems with him, and some asked him to write a composition and make a table. Therefore, Su Zong did not set a specific date for his arrival in Yelang, and he had plenty of time at his disposal. I stayed in Jiangxia (now Wuhan) for a long time on the way. Sometimes, he also enters the tributaries of the Yangtze River, boards his boat and enjoys the surrounding scenery. There is a tributary of the Yangtze River at the foot of Hu Ping Mountain. In the Tang Dynasty, Huping Mountain in Shimen belonged to Guizhou (now Zigui, Hubei). On the top of the mountain in Hu Ping, there are Bodhi Pass, garrison troops and post roads leading to Guizhou. From this point of view, it is very convenient for Li Bai to leave the Yangtze River for Hu Ping.

These two poems of Li Bai were written in 759, the year when he was pardoned. Why did he only leave two poems? Li Bai's earliest collection of poems was The Collection of Caotang, which was edited by his uncle Li, who lived in the Caotang before his death. When Li was appointed as the director of dangtu county, Anhui Province, he said in the preface to Caotang Collection that nine times out of ten Li Bai's works were preserved by others ... The so-called "every family has a collection without a definite volume". It can be seen that many concentrated poems are collected from the people. Later, someone added an addendum, and there was also a "broken sentence", leaving only two sentences. From this point of view, these two poems of Li Bai were first circulated orally among the masses, and then included in Shimen County Records by people of insight.

Li Bai and Taibai Lake

Taibai Lake, located in the West Lake embankment in the northeast of Hanshou County, has an original lake area of more than 30,000 mu and an existing water surface of 1 10,000 mu. The lake was originally a part of Xize-Chisha Lake in Dongting Lake. Later, the lake bed was silted up and raised, and an inner lake was formed by embankment. Now it is only separated from Muping Lake, the largest lake in West Dongting Lake. According to legend, Li Bai, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, visited here to compose poems, leaving a beautiful poem "Dongting Lake is full of autumn moonlight", hence the name Yitai Lake.

In the autumn of the second year of Gan Yuan, Tang Suzong (AD 759), Ye Li, assistant minister of punishments, and Jia Zhi, a Chinese scribe, were framed by traitors. Ye Li was demoted to the county commandant of Lingnan Road (now Guangdong), and Jia Zhi was demoted to the Sima of Yuezhou (now Yueyang). At that time, Li Bai was exiled to Yelang because he did not take part in the rebellion of Li Lin in Wang Yong. Soon he was pardoned and released. After Jiangxia, he took a nap in Yueyang and met Ye Li and Jia Zhi. Li Bai invited them to go boating in Dongting, accompanied by wine.

On a sunny day, a boat carrying Li Bai and others wandered freely on the lake facing the mountains and rivers of Dongting Lake, and arrived at the west of Chisha Lake at dusk. At that time, it was a good season of crisp autumn, the autumn wind roared, the lake was clear and blue, the moon was in the sky, and Hongyan returned to the south. This rare and beautiful night aroused the poet's heart. Jia Zhi's first poem:

When you meet on the river, you will always travel far, and Xiangshan will never bear it.

Bright moon, autumn wind, Dongting water, solitary leaves and a boat.

Li Bai understood their feelings very well and advised them to be cheerful and open-minded. He wrote five poems in a row and recorded the third:

one

There is no smoke in the autumn night in Nanhu Lake, and you can ride straight for nine days.

Let Dongting Lake enjoy some moonlight on credit and enjoy the moon and drink happily.

two

Luoyang talent fell to Xiangchuan, rude and in the same boat.

I remember Chang 'an still wanted to laugh, and I didn't know where it was.

three

Dongting Lake is full of autumn moonlight in the west, and Xiaoxiang Jiangbei flies early.

Drunk guests are full of boat songs and white bamboos, but I don't know if the frost reveals people's autumn clothes

Li Bai's poems vividly depict the beautiful autumn scenery in Dongting Lake, and also reflect the poet's desire to return to Chang 'an. His idea at that time naturally failed, because the rulers at that time would not respect talents so much.

The poems of Li Bai and others boating in Dongting Lake are widely circulated, and many literati come here to tour the lake and compose poems. Tong Wusheng's "Taibai Lake Nostalgia" and Zeng's "Taibai Lake" are among them. I hereby transcribe the following in order:

Huaigu in Taibai Lake

The misty lake seems to be stagnant, and the branches of the green cypress are fishing boats.

Where does the fairy ride a yellow crane? Yuan Pu has no intention of starting Bai Ou.

In the music, plum blossoms play the flute on the river, and the fence by the water falls on the restaurant upstairs.

Acacia is the first romantic, and the cold blue moon is like a hook.

taibai lake

The moon in Taibai Lake is lonely, and there is no shadow when the moon invites Taibai.

I came to drink the moon in the lake alone, and it was so white when I was happy with the moon.

Today's Taibai Lake is an important producing area of lotus, fish, soft-shelled turtle and pearl in Hanshou County. The royal family in the water-"Chinese soft-shelled turtle" is world-renowned. Every spring and summer, nature makes Taibai Lake extraordinarily enchanting. The beautiful poem "The lotus leaves in the sky are infinitely colorful, and the lotus leaves reflect the shadows of the sun in different colors" has become a true portrayal here. Ah! Taibai Lake is more poetic and picturesque than it was then. If Li Chenxian is in the world and revisits his old place, he will be full of poetry and praise loudly!

Li Bai and Muguashan

In the autumn of the first year of Gan Yuan (758), when Li Bai exiled Yelang (now Xinhuang County, Hunan Province), he passed through Changde and stayed in Mugua Mountain for several days. "Jiaqing Changde Fuzhi" records: "Mugua Mountain is fifteen miles east of the government. Tang Li Bai Yelang passed this and had poems. " The poem is looking at the papaya mountain:

Get up in the morning to watch the sunrise and watch the bird's nest at night.

Being in a foreign country has long been sour, not to mention facing the papaya mountain.

Li Bai deeply expressed his sadness in exile in his poems. The first two sentences of this poem illustrate the present situation. In the morning, the warm sun rises in Ran Ran, and in the evening, cheerful birds return to their nests. What a beautiful picture it should be. In fact, all this is the poet's natural desire during his exile. How he hoped that the imperial court could warm himself like the sun and recruit himself from afar, and how he longed to return to his loved ones as happily as a bird returns to its nest. But the reality is cold and cruel. From the poet's dream to reality, what we see is that he sits alone from morning till night. The last two sentences of this poem are straightforward. Papaya ripens in autumn and tastes sour. The poet's heart is already sour, and he has to face the papaya mountain full of papaya. "Acid" plus "acid" is really sour.

Li Bai stayed in Mugua Mountain for a few days, leaving an infinite sour poem, which constituted a bright spot in Changde's exile culture. It can be said that the poet is unlucky and Changde is lucky.

As for the name "Papaya Mountain", I can't hear it today. Where is "Mugua Mountain"? Some experts think it should be in the area of Gufengling, Deshan. As for which mountain it refers to, it remains to be verified.

Liu Yuxi and Sima Lou

Liu Yuxi (772-842), born in Luoyang (now Luoyang City, Henan Province), was a writer and philosopher in the Tang Dynasty. He claimed to be a descendant of the King of Mountain Scenery in Hanzhong. He used to be an ancient scholar and a member of Wang's political reform school. A famous poet in the middle and late Tang Dynasty, he is known as the "great poet". His family is a scholarly family handed down from generation to generation by Confucianism. Advocating political innovation is one of the core figures of the Wang school's political innovation activities. Later, Yongzhen failed in innovation and was demoted to Sima Langzhou (now Changde, Hunan). According to the textual research of Mr. Zhou, a historian and collector in Changde, Hunan Province, Liu Yuxi was demoted to Sima Langzhou, during which he wrote the famous "Han Shou Chun Wang".

Changde historian and collector Zhou's "Wuling Treasure" records that Liu Yuxi was demoted to Sima Langzhou, during which he wrote the famous "Han Shou Chun Wang". In memory of Liu Yuxi and Sima Langzhou, the Changde Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government of Hunan Province built a "Sima Lou" on the lakeside of Liu Ye.
