Shanghai Soong Ching Ling's former residence is an important place for Soong Ching Ling's long-term local and national activities. The main building was built in1in the early 1920s, and the National Government lived in 1948 for Soong Ching Ling. Soong Ching Ling accepted the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s invitation here on 1949, attended the Northern Branch of China People's Political Consultative Conference, participated in the formulation of major policies for the founding of the People's Republic of China, and was elected as the vice chairman of the Central People's Government. She held various state affairs and regular meetings here, hosted visiting dignitaries from various countries, actively promoted exchanges between China and foreign countries and safeguarded international justice. She created a new culture of maternal and child welfare services in China, and foreign publications are also brewing and planning here. 198 1 After Soong Ching Ling died in Beijing, Shanghai was opened as her hometown for future generations to see. 200 1 was approved by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
Shanghai Soong Ching Ling's former residence is located at Huaihai Road 1843, and entered Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Apartment from 1948. The whole compound covers an area of 4330 square meters, surrounded by camphor trees, lush and green all year round, and the environment is elegant. This three-story Bailiu main building was built in the early1920s. It is a brick western-style building with the living room, dining room and library on the ground floor, and Soong Ching Ling's bedroom, Li's office and nanny's bedroom on the second floor. Now, the furnishings in the home are still the same as when she served. This is an important place for him and Soong Ching Ling to live in the country. During the walk, it seems that we can still feel the immortal voice, face and demeanor of this great man.
