Jianli County is a county-level city directly under the Central Government of Hubei Province, which is managed by Jingzhou City. Jianli County is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, on the west bank of Honghu Lake, bordering jiangling county and Shishou City in the west, Qianjiang City and Xiantao City (Biyang County) in the north, honghu city in the east, and Huarong County, Linxiang City and Yueyang County in Hunan Province across the river in the south.
