On the same day or the next day (far away), the wedding procession greeted the bride and left her home. The bride is dressed in dignity and beauty. The bride dresses up demurely and beautifully; Long hair is knotted at the top of the head, covered with silver flowers and silver hairpin, wearing a blue-purple coat with double-breasted silver buttons and wide sleeves, wearing a purple pleated apron and trousers at the waist, and various shiny silver collars hanging around the neck. There are dragon playing beads on the top of the silver cover, couples singing in pairs on the chest, and three or four pairs of silver bracelets and golden flower shoes with pointed hooks on their feet. Accompanied by her mother and matchmaker, the bride bowed to the coffin of her ancestors, and then said goodbye to her parents, relatives and those who saw her off. At this time, parents and relatives will kowtow to the bride, and relatives will give her money to leave home. The bride and groom also hang red cloth or red silk on their hands with a length of more than ten feet, which is tied to their partner's waist, commonly known as hanging red, symbolizing good luck and peace. When the bride goes out, she should cry and sing (crying wedding songs), while holding a parasol and being helped by her brother on the road.
When the bride arrives at the door of the man's house, she should first take off her XiShen, hold a happiness lock for her, then put a saddle on the threshold for the bride to cross over, and ask an elderly woman to sweep the bride with a bunch of bamboo tips to show exorcism. When the bride enters the man's house, she must first present her sewn cloth shoes to the groom and his family. The next morning, the bride, accompanied by the groom, fetched a bucket of water to show that the bride had started to do housework and lived in her husband's house. After marriage, the bride will go back to her parents' home, stay there for three or five days, and then go back to her husband's house. In some places, the bride spends little time in her husband's family after marriage, and usually stays with her parents for half a year before coming to live with them.
