Puning City is located in the southeast of Guangdong Province, on the west edge of Chaoshan Plain, bordering Chaonan District of Shantou City in the east, Huilai County in the south, Lufeng City and Luhe County in Shanwei City in the southwest, Jiexi County in the northwest and Rongcheng District in the northeast.
