What are the characteristics of Yao embroidery?
Yao embroidery has a long history. In the Book of the Later Han Dynasty, it is recorded that Yao ancestors were good at five-color clothes, and the exquisite craftsmanship of five-color velvet embroidery is praised by the world. Yao people choose flowers and long handkerchiefs, and they all use the word "yes" and "rice". The apron of Huayao in Longhui, Hunan Province is mainly embroidered, and the symmetrical pattern of white lines is embroidered on the black or blue background, which is extremely rich in content. For example, the image of the "double snake wrapped around the tree" pattern is exaggerated and magnificent. There are many suns, moons and stars in Yao's flower picking. There are two circular patterns of "the sun, the moon and the stars with floating sharp corners", one is the radiant sun embroidered with red, yellow and purple lines, and the other is the moon with star patterns beside it. Most Yao people take flowers as their clothes, such as the apron with flowers, which makes the sea noisy.
