List of scenic spots
1. Kaiyuan Temple
Kaiyuan Temple is the Jingguan Temple mentioned in the previous story. In the 11th year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (AD 59 1 year), it was renamed Xie Hui Temple, and in response to the call of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, it was renamed Kaiyuan.
Walking down the steps, although the Tang building and the bell tower are impressive, from the front, a huge statue of _ _ is impressive. It was unearthed in the west of Qian Jie Road in Zhengding in 2000, and then moved to Kaiyuan Temple. It is actually a stone pedestal. _ _ plump, amazing weight, 8.4 meters long, 3.2 meters wide and 2.6 meters high, weighing 107 tons, the highest in China.
Next to it are the remaining tombstones, weighing 14 tons. The shape is two dragon balls with eagle claws, and the treasure ball wrapped in flame in the middle is very beautiful.
There are several residual tablets behind the head of the tablet. The inscription is smooth and the font is clear. It is said that several paragraphs have not been found.
The stone tablet was destroyed and buried. After years of research by experts and scholars, the giant stone tablet unearthed is the merit monument of An Chongrong, the ambassador to Germany in the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties. This man has a rather complicated entanglement with the infamous Shi Jingtang, which is also the reason why the stone tablet was destroyed and buried underground. I don't want to mention it here. Interested people can Baidu on their own.
The ruins of this hall are also buildings of the Tang Dynasty, and now only the ruins are left, which have been restored to the present skeleton.
After reading it, it is the main building of Kaiyuan Temple, with one tower, one temple and one bell tower lined up. The temple was built in the Qing Dynasty, which means nothing.
When it comes to the horizontal layout of Kaiyuan Temple with one bell and one tower, it is quite particular. Generally, temples are confronted by two towers. The parallel structure of one tower and one bell like this only appeared in the Tang Dynasty and before, reflecting the transition of Buddhist temple architecture from the early tower center to the later temple center, and this configuration of Kaiyuan Temple has become an isolated case today.
2. Bell Tower:
Look at the bell tower first. It is said that there are 4.5 Tang-style buildings in China. Last year, I saw the two most important nanzenji and North Temple in Shanxi. Now this bell tower is a semi-Tang structure (also the oldest bell tower in China).
It is said to be half-built, because in the reconstruction of later generations, the upper floor has been rebuilt repeatedly, which is not the original appearance, while the lower floor miraculously retains the style when it was built. At the same time, the Bell Tower is also one of the few existing early pavilions in China.
It is said that this door panel is a relic of the Tang Dynasty. During the Cultural Revolution, Mr. Liang Sicheng also asked Zhengding Cultural Protection Office to tear down the Tang Gate of the Bell Tower and protect it.
Unfortunately, the door was closed and there was no chance to take a quick look.
You can only find photos online to find out. The bronze bell hanging on the second floor of the bell tower is also an original in the Tang Dynasty. The clock is 2.9 meters high and its caliber is 1.56 meters. It will not fall for thousands of years, and it is also a mechanical wonder!
3. Donta:
After seeing the bell tower, look at the Tangta.
This pagoda is called Sumi Pagoda, also known as Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and its shape is very similar to the Little Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi 'an.
Sumeru Pagoda maintains the simple and elegant shape of the cornice pagoda in the Tang Dynasty. There is a stone coupon door in the center of the front, and a stone forehead is embedded in the upper end of the lintel, with the title "Li Qiao of Xumishan Mountain".
The stone pattern on the door frame is exquisite.
Looking at the bell tower from the tower.
The best thing is that there are two lux sculptures on both sides of the base, which is also the majesty and generosity of tang style!
4. Yanghe Building
First, Yanghe Building. Now Yanghe Building has been rebuilt, spanning the south street of Zhengding south gate.
The original Yanghe Building was built at the end of Jin Dynasty and the beginning of Yuan Dynasty, and it was repaired in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The seven-story building is built on a high-rise brick platform, and there are circular arched portals under the platform, one on the left and one on the right, which can be used by pedestrians and horses. Its layout is a bit like the end gate of Tiananmen Square in Beijing, but there is also an inclined platform in the Guandi Temple in the south.
Sadly, Yanghe Building was demolished in the 1960s. Although it was rebuilt today, I feel something is missing after all!
5. Linji Temple
According to the previous story, Linji Temple is one of the oldest existing temples in Zhengding, which began in the Eastern Wei Dynasty. In the eighth year of the Tang Dynasty (854), Yi Xuan, a monk, founded Lin Ji here, which became the most popular Sect of Zen because of its steep fan-shaped peaks. Every year, Lin Ji monks from Asia, Europe, Australia and even North America come here to worship the ancestral temple. Therefore, Zhengding Linji Temple is the earliest Buddhist Lin Ji Dojo in the world and the ancestral home of Lin Ji in the world.
Chengling Pagoda, one of the four pagodas in Zhengding, is the stupa of Yi Xuan, a monk in the Tang Dynasty. It is a brick octagonal nine-eave tower with a height of 30.47 meters, which was rebuilt during the reign of King Dading (l 16 1-l 189).
After understanding the long-standing inheritance of Linji Temple, we will look at it as a stupa. Really as tall and straight as Mr. Liang Sicheng praised, beautifully carved, clear and beautiful, and the tower is superior.
The Chengling Tower is built on an octagonal brick foundation. The stage is a stone base, and then a brick sumeru.
The first floor of the tower is high, with brick-carved arch fake doors on all sides, square fake windows on all sides, columns carved at four corners, and rolling brakes on the stigma.
Above the second floor, the story height gradually decreases, the eaves are connected, and the width of each bay is correspondingly reduced, forming a harmonious outline. Bricks are used to imitate wooden arches under the eaves of towers.
The cornice beam of the tower is made of wood, and the eaves tile, ridge beast and set beast are all green glass.
6. Guanghui Temple
See the completion of the Lingta, go out and go straight to Guanghui Temple.
Before I came, I had seen the four Zhengding pagodas in various forms, and the Huata of Guanghui Temple naturally attracted me the most.
Overlooking Linji Temple, Huata is in sight. Best of all, the two temples have now rested and become a natural space, with green grass, birds and flowers, wooden plank roads winding in between, and graceful ancient buildings dotted among them, which feels seamless.
Bypassing the main entrance, you will see Huata as soon as you enter the door. In fact, this Huata is the only one left in Guanghui Temple.
Flower pagoda, commonly known as flower pagoda, is also called multi-pagoda. According to records, Huata was built in the Tang Dynasty. The existing Huata is an important relic after the reconstruction of Jin Dading. It was revised in Ming and Qing dynasties and also revised in modern times.
From the modeling point of view, the flower pagoda in Guanghui Temple belongs to the flower pagoda type, and its important feature is that the upper part of the pagoda is decorated with various complicated flower ornaments, which looks like a huge bouquet. This pagoda was formed in the Song, Liao and Jin Dynasties and almost disappeared after the Yuan Dynasty. There are only a dozen existing China pagodas in China. Zhengding China Tower is the strangest and most beautifully decorated of the few existing China Towers, which is an isolated case in China.
The bouquet tower is the essence of the flower tower, accounting for about 1/3 of the whole. Look at the camera carefully, the images of lion, elephant, Buddha, bodhisattva, animal head, King Lux and so on. It is carved according to the octagonal vertical line, and the shapes of various carvings are uneven and the levels change greatly.
Walking around the pagoda several times, I feel I can't see enough. The clouds in the sky are unconsciously dense, and the squares are piled on the pagoda, which is even more spectacular!
After seeing the Hua Tower, it is a fairly large square, not far in front of which is the South Gate, which happens to be Sunday and the crowds are surging.
Because it rained before, there was a lot of water on the floor, and the asphalt road became a mirror. Look back at Huata, reflected in the water!
7. Zhengding Ancient City Wall
Zhengding ancient city has a history of 1600 years. Earth was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, stone was built in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, and it was rebuilt and expanded into a Tucheng in the Tang Dynasty. After the expansion of the Ming Dynasty, it was changed to a brick city with a circumference of 24 Li. The existing Zhengding city wall is a relic of the Ming Dynasty, and the city wall remains 8 106 meters.
For many reasons, the original four gates of Zhengding ancient city have been annihilated. Now you can see the south gate and the wall 50 meters on each side. Zhengding county government called on people to donate old city bricks, and invested 3.99 million yuan in 200 1 for renovation.
Boarding the tower, the vision is wider, just in time to engage in a folk garden on the wall of Zhengding, which is crowded and lively!
Standing on the wall and looking from afar, Huata has become the center of the ancient city. The Chengling Pagoda, Sumeru Pagoda and Lingxiao Pagoda that I have seen before are lined up in the back, which is a grand view!
When I got off the tower and wanted to go back to rest, the weather suddenly got better again. Sunset came in through the clouds, and I just went back the same way and wanted to see the previous three temples again.
The first one is Guanghui Temple. The sunset makes the Huata layer upon layer, which is more textured!
At this time, Linji Temple has been closed, and only Chenglingta is quietly bathed in the sunset. The pagoda is silent, but radiant.
Finally, I passed Kaiyuan Temple and found the door still open. Thinking about the last sunset, I came in and lingered.
Looking at the two buildings in the Tang Dynasty, they slowly turned into two silhouettes in the sunset, and the clouds in the sky changed, as if to open just visiting again. The twenty-fifth generation of eminent monk Lin Jizong presided over the construction of Zumeng Hall.
