Wax sealing, as the name implies, is the wine that seals the mouth with wax. In those ancient wine-producing countries in Europe, such as Spain, France and Italy, some "big" wineries invented wax sealing technology in order to preserve wine for a long time.
In fact, it is also very simple, that is, for wine that has been sealed with oak plugs, soak the bottle mouth in melted wax oil for a few seconds, lift it up, cool it and then seal the wax. In that era when heat-shrinkable caps and tin caps were not invented, wax sealing played a great role as an advanced bottle sealing technology, and it was also a symbol of high quality and high grade. In previous wineries, it often happened that wine sealed with oak plugs was eaten by some insects during long-term aging, which made air enter the wine bottle and the wine was oxidized and deteriorated. This is not the case with wine sealed with wax. Moreover, the contact between oxygen and wine liquid is completely eliminated, the oxidation speed of wine is slowed down, and the wine can be aged for a longer time. This makes the wine taste better, mellow and fragrant, and the wine body is richer and fuller.
