In other words, to run a middle school in Shenzhen and Shanghai is to do something that no one has ever done before and create a new chapter in Shenzhen and Shanghai education.
At the active request of people of insight in Shenzhen and Shanghai, Jinjiang County Government established Shenzhen-Shanghai Middle School on 1960. 1962 due to the national economic difficulties and the adjustment of the school layout, it was decided to merge. With the support of overseas Chinese, social sages such as Chen, Chen Quren, Hong Zuyin, Cai, Cai Wanzhen and Yang Mouju set up a "school board" to take over Shenhu Middle School, and decided to name the new school "Jinjiang-Shenhu Overseas Chinese Middle School", which made the education in Shenhu continue to advance. It means the difficulty of running a school and the experience and changes of the school. Difficulty-both inside and outside, not afraid of wind and rain, tired of running around, raising money to run a school. Wu Qinglong Zhu, a patriotic overseas Chinese living in the Philippines, tried his best to raise funds for running a school through "underground" activities under the difficult situation that China and the Philippines have not established diplomatic relations. On the other hand, 1962 was also taken over as Huaqiao Middle School under extremely difficult circumstances. When it was taken over as Huaqiao Middle School, it could be said that there were "three noes": no school buildings, no teachers and no students. Because the original borrowed teaching building of central primary school was taken back because of the urgent need of central primary school; Some of the original teachers were decentralized, some were transferred, some were dismissed, and there were not many left; Freshmen have no choice but to transfer their old classmates to Nanqiao Middle School and Jinjiang No.3 Middle School. In this case, the school board and school leaders took emergency measures. With the support of the commune party and government, the school buildings in the bridge were moved to the "Chongzhen Temple" on the south slope of Bishan, and the damaged ancient temple was urgently cleaned and repaired. Urgently ask the Education Bureau to give teachers proper support again and try to hire them by themselves; Please call Nanqiao and No.3 Middle School to support students. Basically, we should start from scratch, overcome many difficulties, persist in running schools, continue to overcome various difficulties, and strive to run schools well.
Change-"three ups and three downs" and "three ups and three downs".
Founded in 1960, it will be merged in 1962, and the board of directors of Xiangxian Organization School will take over.
1962, the school board continued to regard it as an overseas Chinese middle school with the nature of "overseas Chinese affairs office assistance". 1964, because the national economic difficulties have not been completely solved, the layout of middle schools continued to be adjusted, and overseas Chinese in Shenzhen and Shanghai were merged. The merged "working group" has come to the school to deal with the specific merger. However, the villagers were quite nervous and spontaneously blocked the "working group" and had to change from "withdrawal" to "support". The school board held an emergency meeting and sent three returned overseas Chinese, local Cai and Cai Yonglan to petition the county, government and province. With the support and permission of the Provincial Department of Education, they were approved as overseas Chinese middle schools for pure overseas Chinese.
1964, Huaqiao Middle School continues to operate as a "pure overseas Chinese affairs office". That is, all the funds for running schools are borne by overseas Chinese. Philippin established the Foundation Committee of Shenzhen Shanghai Overseas Chinese Middle School (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation Committee) to continue to raise funds for running schools and build new school buildings. The China Municipal Construction Committee consists of seven members, with Mr. Wu Qinglong as the director and Mr. Zhang, Chen Shaopu, Wu Shigeng, Kan and Wang Hongzao as members. The new school building is built in the "Caitang". Overseas Chinese raised funds and Mr. Yang Mouju donated land. The teachers and students of the whole school took part in a lot of voluntary labor, and nearly 5000 cubic meters of earthwork excavation (the whole area of the original teaching building and the south comprehensive building) moved into the new teaching building on 1965, and the teachers and students were all in high spirits.
1966 during the "cultural revolution", the name of the school was changed to "Xiangyang middle school", and the school was once forced to suspend classes, and its contact with overseas Chinese was interrupted, and the school was impacted and destroyed.
1970, classes resumed, and the original school name was "Shenhu Middle School"; 1972, adding a high school; 198 1, closed due to high school layout adjustment; 1989, opened a vocational high school class; And a vocational junior middle school class was piloted in 190. Our school, the whole process of running a school, runs through the pioneering spirit. Therefore, unremitting efforts have won many honors, which are well-known in our counties and cities, as well as the whole province and the Philippine island. Here are a few examples to illustrate:
1 In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, patriotic overseas Chinese living in the Philippines set up "points" (that is, "shares") to raise funds for running schools without diplomatic relations between China and the Philippines. Every point is RMB in 50 yuan every year. Ordinary overseas Chinese workers can try their best to reach out to overseas Chinese through "underground" activities, so that they can turn their hearts to the motherland and "reduce people without reducing them, and move people to the same point"
At the beginning of school, the first junior high school graduating class won the second place in the county's total score in the entrance examination; County art performance, our school dance "Qiao Girl", won the performance award; Junior high school men's basketball competition won the county championship, shocking the county. Many people are surprised to ask: when will a deep Shanghai overseas Chinese emerge, and it will be better to produce it!
Example 3 1989, Filipino alumni established the "Shenzhen-Shanghai Middle School and Affiliated High School Philippines Alumni Association", which is the 26th Alumni Association established in the Philippines, but its activity energy and influence exceeded previous Alumni Associations. During the flood in the Central Plains of China, our Philippine Alumni Association, together with Jinjiang No.3 Middle School, Jinjingqiao China-Philippines Alumni Association and Hong Kong Fujian Middle School Alumni Association, held a charity performance of "Giving a Thousand Miles of Hearts" for disaster relief, which shocked the whole Philippines, won great attention and praise from my embassy in the Philippines, and reported it to my the State Council, winning the attention of the country.
Over the past four years, Exodus has achieved good results in inter-school competitions and college entrance examinations, won many awards, and even won the second place in the city's "Top Entrance Examination". School education reform is particularly prominent. 1994 was rated as "National Advanced Unit for Comprehensive Reform of Rural Education" by the State Education Commission, and was commended at the national level. 1995, the sixth issue of people's education published a summary of our school's educational reform experience, broadening the ways of running schools. "Diligence, preciseness, innovation and pragmatism" is our school motto. To sum up, I am diligent, rigorous, creative and realistic. That is, the word "diligence" comes first, diligent and serious, brave in reform and creation, stress practical results and pay close attention to implementation.
"Learning from each other" is a new type of teacher-student relationship. Respect teachers and love students, promote each other and complement each other. Over the past 35 years, overseas Chinese and overseas alumni have been very concerned about and supporting our school. The history of Shenzhen Middle School can also be said to be the history of overseas Chinese in Shenzhen.
The leaders and teachers of our school adhere to the leadership style of "hard work, unity and cooperation" and the good teaching style of "diligent in teaching, strict with self-discipline and strict with others" and strive to run the school well.
Over the past 35 years, our school has graduated from 32 junior high schools, 8 ordinary senior high schools, 5 vocational high schools and 2 vocational junior high schools, with more than 7,000 alumni all over the world, making contributions to human progress and social development. This is the conclusion of the school song, and it is a wish and tribute to the alma mater.
"Be gentle ..." is a poem quoted by the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. "Bi" and "Qi" both mean "the same".
Generally speaking, it means that "achievement" and "ideal" and "career" will last forever.
