"New" can't be completely understood literally, but should be understood as the contemporary culture of China.
New Chinese style can be understood as "the expression of contemporary traditional culture in China", which embodies the relationship between contemporary culture and traditional culture. Traditional culture-a national culture that reflects national characteristics and features, is the overall expression of various ideological cultures and ideologies in national history. China's traditional culture takes Confucianism as its core, and there are also cultural forms such as Taoism and Buddhism.
Including: ancient prose, poetry, music, fu, national music, national drama, folk art, Chinese painting, calligraphy, architecture, sculpture and so on.
A) The core ideas of Confucianism include: benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, faith, forgiveness, loyalty, filial piety and sadness.
The Essence of Confucianism-The Doctrine of the Mean
Take an impartial and eclectic attitude towards others: the golden mean.
B) The core of Taoist thought includes: quietism, returning to simplicity, conforming to the natural and cultural background of contemporary China (1980s-present).
China culture in 1980s is a mixed culture: tradition and anti-tradition, authority and anti-authority, which conflict with each other and penetrate into each other, forming the culture of China today.
Including realism and modernism (avant-garde, modernism), agricultural civilization and industrial civilization, local traditional culture and foreign modern culture, radical liberalism and stubborn conservatism and so on.
Cultural opening-up accompanied by political and economic reform and opening-up is an important aspect that affects contemporary China culture. The opening of culture brings us a new spiritual frame of reference or a new value scale, which makes the native land more obvious and the tradition more obvious! Therefore, the conflict between different value systems and values becomes inevitable.
Note * The new Chinese style is only one form of cultural expression, and it cannot represent the whole of contemporary China culture. It is a logical mistake to "combine contemporary China culture with China traditional culture". Contemporary China culture has never been stripped of traditional culture, and the relationship between China traditional culture and contemporary culture should be developed in inheritance and inherited in development.
