From March 1933 to March 1935, the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants liberated Yilong twice, establishing Yilong County in Jincheng Town of Yilong County and Changsheng County in Li Shanchang of Yilong County (later moved to Dingshanchang, Bazhou District).

On March 28th, 1935, the Red Army marched westward and northward out of the county seat. The old system was restored in Yilong County, and the People's Government of Yilong County was established on February 23rd. 1949, 1950, 18.
