Time flies, Sanmenxia's work experience has passed half a century inadvertently, and those passionate and hard years are still fresh in my memory.

1. stormy waves enter the "three gates"

About the end of summer and early autumn of 1955, we received an order in Xin 'anjiang to report to Sanmenxia Geological Exploration Corps. I left with Comrade Li Zhengqing and Qian Xuepu.

Take a bus from Tongguan and Jiande to Hangzhou, and then transfer to the north by train. During the transfer period in Hangzhou, Comrade Xue Pu bought an accordion and kept playing it all the way. Accompanied by his piano, the train passed through Yuan Ye and the mountains, but it was not lonely. A journey of talking and laughing will make people feel that time passes quickly.

It was evening when I arrived in Huixing Town (now Sanmenxia City), Shaanxi County, Henan Province. We stopped at the reception desk and waited for Rosty Yi to take a boat to Shijiatan team site in Sanmenxia.

Early the next morning, we boarded the ferry to Sanmenxia. To our surprise, a boatman was naked, which is said to be a custom since ancient times. On the ferry, you can only do as the Romans do, which is naturally awkward.

The Yellow River in August and September is a season of abundant rivers. The ship entered the middle stream and sailed in the rough waves mixed with yellow sand, and the ferry fluctuated with the waves. Just then, the boatman shouted his song in unison, which was really earth-shattering and thrilling. The first time I met such a scene, I felt that I was in danger of being buried underwater at any time. It's no use being afraid. It's just fate. In shock, the ship has landed. Thankfully, we finally arrived at Shijiatan team site safely.

We were received by the future geological leader, Comrade Xia Qifa.

2. unforgettable mid-autumn festival

Shijiatan is located on the terrace on the right bank (south bank) of the Yellow River. There are scattered families living in loess caves, and both sides are covered with loess mountains.

There are several persimmon trees in the yard of the team site. Semi-dyed with faint red leaves, the branches are covered with golden persimmons, which adds a luster to autumn scenery.

From the office to the canteen, every day we pass through persimmon trees, and our eyes will naturally turn to the attractive persimmons that are about to mature. I don't know who made up a song with the tune of "Return from Sailing": "Persimmon, please fall quickly!" I have no idea about Li Er's heart and Li Er's heart. "

Li Er is the nickname of Sichuan girl Li Zhengqing. At this time, she was in distress situation. In fact, the person who is most eager for the persimmon to fall is the one who sings the most vigorously.

When the persimmons are ripe, the Mid-Autumn Festival will come. On this day, everyone collected some money, which was handled by Hu Huimin and Li Zhengqing, and went to their hometown to buy persimmons and jujubes. They climb trees and pick them themselves, which is naturally of high quality and good quality.

In the evening, several people in the geological group (Xia Qifa, Qian Xuepu, Hu Huimin, Ren, Li Zhengqing) spent an unforgettable Mid-Autumn Festival night with red dates and persimmons as food for enjoying the moon.

The fruit of the yellow land is very sweet, and the autumn color of the yellow land is vast and rich.

3. Night by the People's Gate

Around June+10, 5438, the geological mapping group of dam site area was established to carry out geological mapping, with the scale of 1: 2000. Hu Huimin and I served as the team leader, and the team members included Qin Zhubin, Gan, Luo Naian and Song Jingyun. Surveying and mapping started from the right bank of the Yellow River, and entered the left bank work area in June165438+1October. To the left bank, you have to take a cable car to slide in the air, which is inconvenient and unsafe to go back and forth every day. After research, two single tents were temporarily set up on the north shore. It's okay during the day, but I feel chilly every night. A quilt can protect the head, but not the feet. Later, the quilt was tied with the waistband and a cotton cap was worn on the head. This cold protection measure also played a little role.

In the dead of night, people are quiet, the river is rushing, and several people are chatting and sleeping.

1956 Around New Year's Day, after surveying and mapping, we returned to the south bank and lived in cotton tents shipped from other places.

"Night by the People's Gate" makes us realize the hardships of geological life and temper our hard-working character.

4. Comrade Hu Yaobang inspected Sanmenxia.

1956 After Tomb-Sweeping Day, in April of the solar calendar, Comrade Yaobang attended the National Youth Afforestation Mobilization Conference in Yan 'an and passed through Sanmenxia to Sanmenxia Geological Exploration Corps. He was the secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, so he was received by the General Branch of the Brigade. I am a member of the General League Branch, so I and Wang Shuji of the General League Branch accompanied him and the poet He Jingzhi to visit the dam site. There are many rigs in the dam site to carry out water pressure test, showing a busy scene.

The geological situation of Sanmenxia and the overall design of dam construction in the future (such as dam height, dam length, dam axis design position, etc.) are introduced while walking. ) To Comrade Yaobang. From time to time, Comrade Yaobang interrupted to ask a few questions, and sometimes he told Comrade He Jingzhi about the past of Yan 'an.

What impressed me most was that he was very concerned about the work, life and study of young people, and asked me specifically how to solve the marriage problem of geological team members. I told him that Minister He Changgong attached great importance to it, organized some training courses and recruited many female students. He was very happy. There are many young lesbians in the geological team now, and it is not too difficult to get married.

Comrade Yaobang was approachable, talking and laughing all the way, and even sang Kangda's school song with He Jingzhi. When I got to the pillar, I told him that this is the pillar, and it will no longer exist after the dam is completed. He said to his entourage, "Take a picture here!" So the editor of China Youth Daily raised his camera and took us in.

In the afternoon, Comrade Yaobang gave a wonderful report to the league members and young people in the team office. He first introduced Comrade He Jingzhi and the accompanying editor of China Youth Daily. Then he improvised for an hour or two. Most of the contents have disappeared from my memory at any time, but I haven't forgotten one thing. He said that a foreigner once conceived of building a dam in the Bering Strait between Alaska (the United States) and Siberia (Russia) to connect the two continents ... His revolutionary vitality and passion left a deep impression on me.
