1, preparation before shooting. Understand local laws and regulations, and choose eligible legal flight locations. Use maps and other online resources to choose a flight location, and ensure that there is enough electricity for each aerial photography-practice makes perfect. Plan the photos to be taken in advance, but don't resist improvisation. Sometimes the perfect work comes from the most unexpected moment.
2. setup. Compared with setting camera parameters according to DJI GO again and again, it is suggested to refer to this tutorial with the instruction manual, so that the training can be purposeful. Before aerial photography, please make sure that you are familiar with various parameter settings of DJI Go.
3. Shutter speed. Shutter speed (a parameter indicating the opening time of camera shutter) is one of the most essential and important parameters to control UAV, which can play a lot of creativity. Changing the shutter speed can capture instantaneous motion and control light. When adjusting the shutter speed, two issues need to be considered. First, the plane is affected by airflow in the air, and the camera will inevitably shake. The stronger the wind, the more the camera shakes. The second is to avoid overexposure. When using the fixed aperture of f2.8 under strong light (that is, a lot of light enters the sensor), you must increase the shutter speed, otherwise the photo will be easily overexposed.
4. White balance. The index reflecting the camera's ability to restore color is called white balance. If you take RAW photos, you can adjust the white balance through post-retouching. But if you want to take photos in JPEG format, you'd better be familiar with the various templates that the camera can choose in advance so as to take different contents.
5. Surround the exposure. Peripheral exposure is one of the most prominent features of DJI Elf series, and it has been proved that it can greatly help people shoot amazing works (and correct underexposure). Peripheral exposure refers to different degrees of exposure at the same time. Choose the best one to avoid ruining your efforts in exposure. You can even stack these photos together in post-production to make high dynamic range (HDR) photos, showing highlights and shadows to the maximum extent.
6. Jiugongge composition. Jiugongge composition is a well-known golden rule in photography and the first lesson for every photographer. Jiugongge composition method divides the picture horizontally and vertically into nine equal parts with two straight lines. If you want a photo to look natural and interesting, you'd better put the scene at the intersection of nine squares or compose it along a straight line.
