The Historical Evolution of Taiziwan Park
The name of Taiziwan originated in the Southern Song Dynasty. At that time, it was a repulse bay in the south corner of the West Lake. In the Song Dynasty, the lakeside was the graveyard of two Olivia Zhuang and Jingxian, hence the name Huwan. Taiziwan Park was built in July 1988 and basically completed in July 1989. The earliest wedding park in Hangzhou has such projects as "Faithfulness" and "Better than Qi Fei". This used to be a dump for dredging silt in the West Lake. When the garden was built, it was built according to the mountain situation, and the pool was cleverly dug to make the slope, which made the terrain undulating and patchy.
Taiziwan Park is located in the southwest corner of West Lake, under the litchi peak of Nanping Mountain. According to Wen Zhuang, the royal family of the Southern Song Dynasty, Jingxian County was named after burying two princes. Prince's Bay was originally a lake bay, which was scoured by Shan Yu and silted up into a swamp depression. Newly turned into a large park integrating pastoral charm and mountain scenery. The first phase of the project with a planned area of 800,000 square meters1100,000 square meters was completed and opened on the National Day of 1989.
