Yuxian No.2 Middle School is the only junior high school directly under the county, and junior high school teaching ranks first in the county. The school was founded on 1980. In 2006, Yuxian No.2 Middle School moved from the former site of Yuxin Lane in Xiguan Village, Xiushui Town, the county seat, to the new campus of Jinlong West Street in Yuxian County, which is adjacent to Yuxian No.1 Middle School with convenient transportation and superior geographical location. The school covers an area of 66700㎡.

The school currently has 3 teaching buildings, 1 office building, 1 experimental building, 1 apartment building, 1 400m track standard playground, 2 basketball courts, 1 football field, 1 tennis court and 2 badminton courts. All teachers are equipped with computers, and all classrooms are equipped with multimedia teaching platforms.

32 classrooms are equipped with the most advanced electronic whiteboard.
