First, Chen Youliang's ancestral home is not in Zhejiang.
It has been nearly six and a half centuries since Chen Youliang died in Poyang Lake in Yuan Dynasty to the 23rd year of Zheng Zheng (1363), and few people have questioned Chen Youliang's native place. 1986 There is an article entitled "Chen Youliang and Lingyun Gong in Pengxi, Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province". The article said that Chen Youliang, whose real name was Xie, was the 26th grandson of Xie Lingyun, a great poet in the Southern Dynasties, and the 7th grandson of Xie Lingyun's descendants. Because of cannibalism, the predecessors' family was completely destroyed, and Boss Shady became. Friends should be adopted by son-in-law, because they take their surnames. For the first time, this genealogy named Chen Youliang's ancestral home in Xie 'ao Village, Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province, and called him Xie Pucai. Xie's Genealogy in South Zhejiang compiled by Xie's Genealogy Compilation Committee in 2000 inherits the viewpoint of Xie's Genealogy in Pengxi, Yongjia County, but it is different. Xie He is not a person, but a father-son relationship.
From May 65438 to May 0994, Wenzhou Daily, Zhejiang Province published an article on the origin of Xie's family in Yongjia, Zhejiang Province and Chen's family in Jiading, Shanghai, pointing out that Chen's family in Jiading, Shanghai came from Xie 'ao, Yongjia, Zhejiang Province, which was the ancestral home of Chen Youliang. The article said: "Chen's genealogy has been lost. Since the ancestors moved to compete with Zhu Yuanzhang for the world and fled by boat from Jiangxi, they have established a reputation for generations. The people said that they saw Chen Youliang on the spectrum. " He added: "Chen Youliang once lived in Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi and Anhui provinces, and died in Poyang Lake, Jiangxi Province, thousands of miles away from Pengxi, Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province. If it were not for his own people, some people fled their homes after the defeat. Chen Youliang, who is crowned with defeat, can never be deeply remembered in the hearts of Xie's clansmen here, and will be included in the genealogy in the future, so he is proud of it. " The conclusion is that after Xie Lingyun came to Chen Youliang, Xie Lingyun moved to Shining County (now Shangyu County, Zhejiang Province) in Huiji, and Xie moved from Luqiao, Huangyan County in the Southern Song Dynasty, and first lived in Xie 'ao. The genealogical order of Xie Xuan is 10 generation, Xie Lingyun is 12 generation, Xie Cai and Xie Chongba are 37th generation, and Chen Youliang is 38th generation. 200 1 Wenzhou Daily published the article "The Mystery of Dahan's Life Experience Unveiled, Chen Youliang's Ancestral Family in Yongjia Xie 'ao" written by Hu Zhusheng, and the conclusion is still: "The mystery of Chen Youliang's Ancestral Family in Mianyang, Hubei Province has been preliminarily solved, which comes from Xie 'ao, Nanxi, Yongjia, Zhejiang." This view is exactly the same as the last one, and no new evidence is provided.
Although the above two articles are serious, they are unfortunately inconsistent with historical facts. Looking up the genealogy of Pengxi in Yongjia in southern Zhejiang, it is found that the ancestor who was an official in the early Southern Song Dynasty moved from Yongjia City to Xie 'ao in Nanxi. His seventh grandson is divided into four branches: Geng, Dan, Qian and Chong. Among them, there are thousands of people, including thousand two, thousand four, thousand five, thousand six and thousand fourteen, but there is no thousand one, let alone thousand one. After Qian Yi changed his name, it was even more fictional to lead You Liang to move to Mianyang, Hubei. In the 13th issue of Xie's Research, an internal publication compiled by Xie's Research Institute of Fujian Surname Origin Research Association, there is a short article "A Study on the Origin of Heyang River in Yongjia, Chen Youliang", which says: "In the 16th year of the Republic of China, Xie's Examination in Pengxi was contemporary with Chong, Qian, Geng and Dan, all of which were made out of nothing and had no evidence, so it was newly compiled in 1986. Later, I learned that it was Mr. Xie Chunhuan (also known as Mr. Xie Chunhuan) from Pengxi who visited Xie Chunbo's home in Heyang, consulted Xie's genealogy in Heyang, and copied the entries of "Thousand Clothes Palace" to Pengxi genealogy. " Xie Daoxiu, the author of this article, is from Heyang, Yongjia, Zhejiang, and the situation described is natural and reliable. In fact, Chen Youliang's grandfather is also called Xie and his father is called Cai, which is recorded in many history books. It's ridiculous that the Xie family tree in Pengxi, Yongjia, Zhejiang, described the father and son as one person and fabricated a false case.
This essay, Chen Youliang Originated from Yongjia Heyang, holds that Chen Youliang's ancestral home is Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province, but it is Heyang in Pengxi rather than Xie 'ao. Because there is indeed a person named Xie in Xie's genealogy in Heyang, and his wife's surname is Chen, which is consistent with Chen Youliang's grandfather's son-in-law in Chen's records, it is natural to set Chen Youliang's ancestral home in Heyang. According to Xie's genealogy in southern Zhejiang, Xie's ancestors moved from Yongjia County in the Northern Song Dynasty to Heyangtangxia, and his son Qian Renzu eventually became an official. After his death, he and his wife Chen were buried in the nest of Yan Hong. His son, also known as Xie XIII, is a famous tough guy, and his wife Xu was buried in Guo Zhuang. There are three sons: Xie Zhao, Xie Shiqiang and Xie Cui. Xie Zhao has five sons. His third son, Xie Yuankuan, was born in the second year of Jianyan (1 128) and died in the fifth year of Qingyuan (1 199). His wife Zhou was born in Shaoxing for six years (1 136) and died in Qingyuan for five years. The genealogy of other sons does not include the date of birth and death. Judging from this spectrum, Chen Youliang is not a descendant of Xie. First of all, age is out of place. In this pedigree, Xie Wei moved to Heyang during the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. Taiping rejuvenating the country for eight years, from 976 to 983. Suppose he moved to Taiping for five years, that is, in 980. When he was 25 years old, we can see that he was born in 955, before the founding of the People's Republic of China in the Song Dynasty. There is no date of death of his son in the spectrum. According to the generation of twenty years, he was born in 975 AD, that is, Song Taizu Kaibao was eight years old. Chen Youliang's grandfather, and Chen Youliang was born in Yan? Seven years (1320), the distance between grandparents and grandchildren is nearly three and a half centuries, which is unbelievable in any case. Yuan Kuan, Xie's great grandson, was born in the second year of Jianyan in the Southern Song Dynasty and died in the fifth year of Ningzong Qingyuan. He should be Chen Youliang's nephew. Are there any uncles born in the Yuan Dynasty or nephews born in the Southern Song Dynasty?
Second, the names don't match. History records that Liang's father was a general talent, while Xie Zi's name in He Yang Pu was elegant and tough, and he did not change his name to general talent. Shi Zaipu has only five sons: You Fu, You Zhi, You Liang, You Ren and You Gui, while Yang He has only three sons in his score, and there is no name for you to forgive.
Finally, Xie He is the same person. Xie's genealogy and Chen's genealogy record different burial places, which makes people feel at a loss. The Xie Family Tree in Heyang contains: "The second ancestor, Jun Fu ... Yan Chen, had a good son and was buried in Zangke, Wan Yan." "Chen Family Tree" in Biyang, Hubei Province contains: "Money, the word three, surname, was buried in Huangpengshan, Biyang." Obviously, these two Xie are not the same person, but they are just not worthy of the name. Xie's genealogy is not Chen Youliang's grandfather, but Xie, who was buried in Huangpengshan, Mianyang, is Chen Youliang's grandfather. However, Chen Pu's praise for the wife's behavior is inconsistent with historical facts and should be corrected. Through the investigation of Xie's genealogy in Pengxi and Heyang, Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province, we can definitely say that Chen Youliang's ancestral home is not in Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province at all.
Second, look for evidence from historical records.
Since the genealogy is unreliable, we still have to look for clues from history books. There are many historical books that record Chen Youliang's ancestral home, and Ming History is not the only one:
"A Record of Ming Taizu" Volume XIII: "The forgiver is from Yushan County, Mianyang. The world is rich and magnificent, and it is unpleasant for the county officials. " In the Yuan Dynasty, Mianyang was ruled in Yushan County, later Miancheng, in the southwest of Mianyang County, Hubei Province. Now Mianyang County has been changed to Xiantao City, adjacent to honghu city in the south.
Ye Caozi, Volume III, Articles: "Forgive me, Sir, I was originally from Mianyang."
Qian's A Brief Introduction to Heroes at the Beginning of the Country, Volume 4, Chen Youliang: "You Liang, a native of Yushan County."
Tong Ping: "Chen Youliang, a native of Mianyang, takes Xie and Zu as surnames, which are redundant in Chen, so he takes their surnames. Father is a general and Huang Peng is a fisherman. "
Gao Dai's "Lu Hongyu" Volume 3 "Good": "Chen Youliang, a fisherman in Huguang Mianyang, whose real name is Xie, was born in Chen and took Chen as his name."
Among the ancient historical records, the oldest and most reliable historical materials are Records of Ming Taizu, Cao, Ping and Hong Youlu. Ming Taizu Lu was written in the fifth year of Hongwu (1372), while Chen Youliang died in the twenty-third year of Zheng Zhi (1363), only nine years apart. As an official file, Zhu Yuanzhang has just established Daming Wang Ming, saying that Chen Youliang is a native of Yushan County, Mianyang, and a "professional fisherman"-that is, he has been fishing for generations. What he said must be true. Judging from the word "professional fishing", Chen Youliang is a native of Mianyang, not from other places.
Look at the book "Grass and Trees" again. Ye, the author of this book, was also born in Longquan, Chuzhou, Zhejiang Province (now Zhejiang Province). He, Qingtian Liu Bowen and Pujiang Song Lian are both famous scholars in western Zhejiang. In the early Ming Dynasty, it was the main book of Baling County (now Yueyang, Hunan). In the eleventh year of Hongwu (1378), he was imprisoned for something, and he wrote a book "Caomuzi" in prison. He said that Chen Youliang was from Mianyang, so he must have his roots. At least his ancestors have lived in Mianyang for many generations, so he came to the conclusion that "Mianyang is a native".
A little later than the book Caomuzi is Pinghanlu. Coincidentally, the author of this book, Tong, is from mian yang, Huguang. Zheng De was a scholar in the 16th year of Ming Dynasty (152 1) and was a courtier of Zuo Chunfang, the son of Zuo Shu. There is an article "Han Fu at Pingjiang" in Ping by Song Lian, the minister of Zhu Yuanzhang's thighs and arms, and the editor of Yuan Shi. This paper briefly describes the process of Zhu Yuanzhang's pacification of Chen Youliang, on which Ping Luhan is based. There is also an appendix with Mitchell's eulogy, which flatters Zhu Yuanzhang to the extreme. Tong was born in Mianyang, less than a century and a half later than Chen Youliang. He writes about his hometown with his hometown people, which is naturally more familiar and detailed than his books. He said that Youliang was from Mianyang and revealed for the first time that his grandfather's name was Xie. Because of redundancy with Chen, I changed my surname to Chen. He also said that Pu Cai, a good father, was a fisherman in Huang Peng, and pointed out that Pu Cai lived in Huang Peng when he was young. This record is valuable information. Therefore, Xie's ancestral home is in Mianyang, not moved from other places. After son-in-law Chen, she moved to fishing where Chen lived, so her son Pu was a "fisherman". If Xie had moved here from other places, Tong would never have skipped this book with great care. Huang Peng originally belonged to Xiantao City, now belongs to Mianyang City, and now belongs to the jurisdiction of honghu city. The records in Ming Taizu only said that Chen Youliang was from Yushan County, Mianyang, but did not specify his hope. Yushan County is in the southwest of Mianyang, close to today's honghu city, and Huang Peng belongs to honghu city. There is no doubt that Huang Peng is in Yushan County, but Pingluhan is more detailed and specific.
Gao Dai, the author of Hong Youlu, and Tong, the author of Ping, are both from Jingshan, Hubei. In the thirty-ninth year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1550), he was a scholar, slightly later than a child. Jingshan is about 200 miles north of Mianyang, not far from Chen Youliang's birthplace. Chen Youliang is a famous Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. Yu Hong's records are based on previous biographies, plays and reports. The book says that Chen Youliang is a fisherman in Huguang and mian yang, and its credibility is self-evident. This record is so consistent with Ping Luhan, which shows that it is not plagiarism, but a consistent conclusion based on relevant historical materials.
Therefore, we have reason to believe that Chen Youliang was a native of Mianyang in Yuan Dynasty. There is no reason to rock the boat and set my ancestral home in Yongjia, Zhejiang, and there is no need to be arty and say that I am a descendant of the great poet Xie Lingyun.
3. Chen Youliang was born in Xiejiawan, Xiantao City, Hubei Province.
Chen Youliang was born in Mianyang (now Xiantao City, Hubei Province) and has settled down. Needless to say. But where in Mianyang, that is to say, where to find it, is not recorded in the historical records quoted above, and it still needs to be searched carefully. "The Biography of New Yuan History Chen Youliang" said: "Huang Peng is in Mianyang." A few years ago, Mianyang County Records published by Hubei Province provided us with a good clue, which deserves our attention. Book 29 back to the biography of Chen Youliang cloud:
Chen Youliang (1320- 1363), the leader of the peasant uprising in the late Yuan Dynasty, was born in Huangpengshan, Mianyang (now Honghu County), and his ancestral home was Xiejiawan on the southeast bank of Paihu Lake. My real name is Xie and my grandfather's wife is Chen. Father Pu has only five sons, and friend Liang has three sons. Young people who have studied in private schools for less than three years drop out of school to go fishing. Under the guidance of his father, he developed a superb martial arts. You Liang used to be a petty official in the county. In the 15th year of Yuan Dynasty (1335), Xu Shouhui sent him to restore NiWenjun's Mianyang. You Liang Yu Huang Peng uprising and joined the Red Scarf Army ... At the age of 44, his body was escorted by Zhang Qiu Dingbian and buried at the foot of Snake Mountain.
This narrative first proposed that Chen Youliang's ancestral home was Xiejiawan in the southeast coast of Paihu Lake, Mianyang, and his grandfather Xie adopted Chen's surname in Huangpengshan, so he changed his surname to Chen and took fishing as his profession. His father Chen Pu was born in Huangpengshan, so all historical records say that he is a "Huangpengyuzi". Chen Youliang was also born in Huangpengshan. After dropping out of school, he inherited his father's business and made a living by fishing. After his death, he was buried at the foot of Snake Mountain in Wuchang. This statement is quite credible. Naturally, Xie is located in Mianyang, and the mountain is also under the jurisdiction of Mianyang. The two places are only a stone's throw away. It is natural that Xie moved with Chen's surname, so there is no record of Xie Qian in Historical Records. There is a Xie Qian Yi in the genealogy of Xie surname in Heyang County, Yongjia, Zhejiang Province, and Chen Youliang's grandfather is unknown. In addition, both wives are surnamed Chen, so they mistakenly think that they are the same person.
"mian yang County Records" said that Chen Youliang joined the Red Scarf Army of Huangpengshan only when Xu Shouhui General Ni Wenjun attacked mian yang again in the 15th year of Zheng Zheng, which seemed uncomfortable. "Ping" says: "(Chen Youliang) tasted as a county official and was unhappy. When he met Luo Shouhui and Ni Wenjun, he gladly followed and wrote for Wen Jun." Chen Youliang biography: "You Liangsui and his younger brother You Ren and others gathered in Hanyang, Xu Shouhui, and transferred to Ni Wenjun, who was over 30 years old." "Biography of Chen Youliang in Ming Dynasty" also said: "It is not good to be a county official. Xu Shouhui started his army, and his friends trusted him to follow. According to it, he regarded Ni Wenjun as a book. " In the 12th year of Zheng Zheng (1352), Xu Shouhui captured Hanyang. "Biography of Xu Shouhui" said: "In the first month of the spring of Renchen (the twelfth year of Zheng Zheng), Ding Pulang and others were assigned to the Yuan Dynasty and Xingguo House." It can be seen that Chen Youliang joined the Red Scarf Army in 12 years, not 15 years as mentioned in Mianyang County Records.
To sum up, it can be concluded that Chen Youliang's ancestral home is Xiejiawan, Xiantao City, Hubei Province, and his grandfather Xie adopted Chen's surname in Huangpengshan, so he changed his surname to Chen. His sons Pucai and Sun Youliang were both born in Huangpengshan. Since Huang Pengshan has been assigned to honghu city, Chen Youliang should be from honghu city, Hubei.
