Yuefu, also known as Yuefu Poetry, is a collection of folk poems collected by Yuefu during the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. Its content widely reflects the tragic experience of people in social life at that time, their dissatisfaction with heavy corvee and exorbitant taxes, and their unfortunate fate and unyielding character.

Yuefu poems have various styles, such as fresh and clear, affectionate and euphemistic, and generous and mournful, but they are mainly simple and natural. The so-called simplicity and naturalness is manifested in the language of poetry. It has no words and no embellishment, so it is simple and sincere, unique in ancient and modern times.
