In addition, burning incense and kowtowing is only one aspect of our study and belief in Buddhism. What we need to pay more attention to is to implement the teachings of Buddha and Bodhisattva: all evil should be done and all good should be pursued. Buddha and Bodhisattva will be very happy to know that you can correct your mistakes and do good deeds, so there will be good results!
In the process of doing good deeds and accumulating virtues, our filial piety to our parents is easily overlooked. As the ancients said, there is no need to burn incense at home. Parents are our greatest blessing. Filial piety can help us accumulate good luck and change our fortune, while unfilial will ruin our good luck. Confucius said that the hardest thing to be filial to parents is "color difficulty", that is, it is difficult to be kind to parents, so treat parents gently, speak softly and not violently.
Finally, I suggest you invite an introductory book on Buddhism to have a comprehensive and concrete understanding of Buddhism. The word Buddha is hard to see, and Buddhism stinks. In other words, being reborn as a human being is a very rare thing, and it is even more rare to get a person's body and smell Buddhism. If we live without the guidance of Buddhism and do a lot of good deeds, we may lose our bodies in the afterlife and suffer from three evils (three evils are hell, hungry ghost and beast). So, please cherish your Buddha's fate and study Buddhism well.
This book is reminiscent of Enlightenment written by the old mage Kong Jing. Buddhism explains the origin of our world, the task of life, and how we can get happiness from pain, which is worth learning.
