Umbrella dance is a kind of lyric dance, which originated in Minangkabao area. Dance aims to show the beautiful love between men and women. Male dancers wear bright clothes, hats and umbrellas, while female dancers wear Minangkabao "sarong" made of gold thread. Clothing is very ethnic.
