Wugang Wumu Palace is located in Changchao Village, Simachong, Wang Jiaping, 33 kilometers away from Wugang City. "Wu Mu" is posthumous title of Yue Fei. In the first year of Longxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1 163), in order to celebrate Yue Fei's patriotism and national integrity, shèn established posthumous title as "Wu Mu" according to the feudal ancestral hall. Since then, various places have built "Wumu Palace" or "Wumu Temple".
The Wumu Palace in Wugang was expanded on 1876 (Guangxu II). One Xinglong Temple, built at 1406 (the fourth year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty), contains statues of Yue Fei, Yue Yun and Zhang Xian. After the expansion, the five-acre palace faces southeast from northwest, covering an area of 655 meters, imitating the ancient palace-style brick and wood structure. There are three doors in front of the palace. The middle gate is a square stone arch, and the left and right side doors are circular arches. Above the gate is written the word "Wumu Palace", which is vigorous and dazzling. The couplets carved on the stone pillars on both sides of the gate are: "Soldiers who call classes often make heroes cry; The appearance of the story is that the model of rewarding the Mingde Hall (suspected of misspelling the word "Mo") is new. " The stone of the door frame above the gate is engraved with the treasure map of Shuanglong, and the bottom is engraved with Tai Chi map and clouds. Write "loyalty" on the left arch and "serving the country" on the right. There are decorative patterns on the stone pillars on both sides of the left and right archways. Historical stories and lakes and mountains are the kind of things that are blurred by wind and rain on the walls under the eaves, but the remains are still faintly discernible. These sculptures and murals are works of art in the late Qing Dynasty before 1 15, which reflect the artistic style and folk art level at that time and are precious historical relics.
According to the memories of the local old people, after the completion of the Wumu Palace, every year on February15, Yue Fei's birthday anniversary, villagers from all directions will gather in the palace to hold grand sacrificial activities, slaughter pigs and sheep, have a big banquet and sing a few days' play, which is very lively. In April of the lunar calendar, the villagers will hold another grand image-raising activity. On this day, eight strong villagers, carrying the majestic statue of Yue Fei, set out from Wumu Palace and passed through nearby villages and fields, inviting Yue Fei to visit the people and see Miao. When the drought hit, the villagers dressed up as soldiers of Yue Fei and carried the statue of Yue Fei in Wumu Palace to the village to pray for rain. At this time, some foot soldiers held high pholiota adiposa and the banner, sounded gongs to clear the way, and some foot soldiers held signs such as "avoidance" and "silence"; Later, some foot soldiers armed with knives, guns, rakes, sticks and other weapons waved flags and shouted drums. Lion dancers, stilts walkers, suona players and villagers from dozens of miles in Fiona Fang also came from all directions to join the queue.
Wherever the statue of Yue Fei went, the villagers set up incense tables at the roadside of the village entrance, waiting to be greeted, bowing down in succession, expressing their sincere love for Yue Fei, and silently praying that the gods of Yue Fei would bless the family's safety and longevity. An old man can still recall his childhood participation in the grand ceremony of the statue of Yue Fei. He said that he also played the banner of "Yue" and sang the drama of Yue Fei's deeds. Whenever we hear the story of Marshal Yue returning to the DPRK from Zhuxian Town in letters, everyone will sing in unison, "Ten years of hard work was destroyed. When Marshal Yue was killed, everyone would sing "The sun shines, the sun shines". In this way, Yue Fei's heroic deeds have been handed down from generation to generation in the local area, enduring for a long time.
